Experience Shapeshifting for Inner Strength, Wisdom, and Healing

Shape-shifting is the ability to change the shape of a an energy field which may manifest in a physical dimension as a physical object or entity, or be perceived as intangible. This term is most often used in reference to your ability to change the shape of your body. In a broader sense, it also includes changing your environment.

For most people, the term shape-shifting brings to mind images of werewolves and big wild cats like tigers and panthers. While you can shape-shift your energy field into anything, throughout history people had most often shape-shifted into different animal forms. The purpose of shape-shifting has never been to impress others, but rather to partake of the strength, wisdom or power of specific species - plant, animal, and others - and for the sake of acquiring new learnings.

All shape-shifting occurs on an energy level. However, depending on the density of the vibration of a specific energy field, the shape-shifting event may be more or less obvious to physical senses. When a complete physical transformation occurs, a shape-shifting is said to be physical.

The vast majority of shape-shifters do not undergo a complete physical transformation and may outwardly physically appear pretty much the same - but others may sense the energetic change, and the behavior of the person may be altered in some way.

According to the degree of transformation, shape-shifters are generally divided into two categories: energy shape-shifters and physical shape-shifters. With some, the ability to shape-shift occurs spontaneously and they have a challenge learning how to control it. Others may need to invest time into developing the ability.

To a certain degree we are all shape-shifting all the time because our thoughts and emotions affect our energy field - the energy we project and the energy others perceive. At times we do this intentionally for a specific purpose - think of a time when you wanted to kill someone and you were shooting daggers through your eyes to get your meaning across, or think of a time when you wanted to seduce someone and were practically eating up the person with your eyes. Other times our energy can change spontaneously if someone pushed our buttons and we lost control and perhaps started to behave like an animal. Or perhaps you know someone who seems to become a different kind of being under the influence of alcohol.

If you look at your photographs throughout time, or at the people around you, you will notice an obvious physical change. As people age, their life story becomes engraved in their bodies. If you look at couples who have lived together for a long time, you may notice that they have become to resemble each other to some extent as their energies synchronized. Some people even begin to resemble the pets whose company they enjoy.

Different styles of kung fu martial arts have been developed based on observation of movements of different animals. To the best of his ability, a martial artist becomes inwardly, on an energy level, the animal whose movements and particular skills he desires to emulate. He doesn't just imitate the postures outwardly, but identifies with the essence of the animal he desires to emulate.

Your physiology will also affect your neurological response. For example, standing like a gorilla will tend to activate your reptilian brain and will create an optimal state for engaging in a physical combat.

In Scandinavian countries, a special group of fierce Viking warriors, berserkers, went into battle "without coats of mail and acted like mad dogs and wolves" (Snorri Sturluson. Heimskringla: History of the Kings of Norway. trans. Lee M. Holander. Austin: U of Texas P. 1964. p.10). The berserker was often said to change into an animal form, or at least to assume the ferocious qualities of the wolf or bear.

Kveldulfr in Egils Saga Skallagrimsonar was spoken of as a shapechanger (Hermann Palsson and Paul Edwards, trans. Egil's Saga. NY: Penguin. 1976. p. 21), and Hrolf's Saga tells of the hero Bjarki, who takes on the shape of a bear in battle:

"Men saw that a great bear went before King Hrolf's men, keeping always near the king. He slew more men with his forepaws than any five of the king's champions. Blades and weapons glanced off him, and he brought down both men and horses in King Hjorvard's forces, and everything which came in his path he crushed to death with his teeth, so that panic and terror swept through King Hjorvard's army..." (Gwyn Jones. Eirik the Red and Other Icelandic Sagas. NY: Oxford U.P. 1961. p. 313).

Another quality possessed by berserkers was the immunity to weapons. The berserker sometimes inherently possessed this immunity, while other times used the power of the mind through self-hypnosis and chanting of spells to induce it. Some berserkers also had special powers to blunt weapons by their gaze. Many tales tell of berserkers, "no weapon could bite them" or "iron could not bite into him."

The concept of immunity may have evolved from the berserker's rage, during which the berserk might receive wounds, but due to his state of frenzy induced hypnosis become unaware of them until his mental state returned to normal consciousness.

A warrior who continued fighting while bearing mortal wounds must have been a terrifying opponent. Some of the modern practices that come to mind here are "iron shirt" and "iron body" from kung fu, as well as development of such immunity from spiritual and esoteric traditions practiced by yogis, dervishes and others who intensively work with energy and consciousness.

The purpose of Shape-shifting is not restricted to physical combat. In daily life you can benefit even more from practicing Shape-shifting for the purpose of gaining internal strength, wisdom and many other qualities which would have a healing effect upon your mind, emotions and body - the ultimate purpose being to experience greater sense of inner balance and well-being rather than to create havoc.

You may already feel a particular affinity to a specific animal. For example, a cat-loving people would most likely feel affinity for Shape-shifting into any kind of "big cats", while dog-loving people would most likely feel affinity for shape-shifting into "wolf-like creatures".

My first experience occurred spontaneously at that time of the month when women have the tendency to go off a deep end, and some would appropriately say they belong to a zoo. Raging hormones and emotions stimulated the internal shape-shift experience and had an extremely healing and calming effect on me. The profound energetic shape-shifting experience provided an outlet for the unbearable pressure I felt inside, and brought me a sense of calm and peace.

Shape-shifting is not restricted to animal forms, not to any creatures existing in the physical realm. Depending on your needs and desire for learning, you may choose different God-forms. In esoteric circles, this is more often referred to as "God-form assumption", rather than shape-shifting. The purpose here is to obtain learnings and to help you develop qualities and attributes within you which are characteristic of a specific deity. You may also experiment with shape-shifting into fantasy creatures, if they possess attributes you'd like to experience and enhance within yourself.

People practicing Huna have come up with the term groking to describe the state of attunement with different life-forms - whether animals, plants, oceans, or anything else.

Deep Trance Now shape-shifting hypnosis offers guided imagery for the actual process of shape-shifting. Super Mind series of hypnosis CDs teaches you how to transfer your consciousness into different life forms for the purpose of learning more about them or healing them.

Tuning yourself into a particular life form becomes a shared experience, where you embody and express the energy of that life form for mutual benefit and to the extent that you are comfortable experiencing the energy and consciousness of that life form. This kind of training forms a part of many esoteric and spiritual traditions, and now it can help you to expand your own consciousness and enrich your life.

EFT Scripts for Self Esteem - Tapping Guide

In his Palace Of Possibilities Series Using EFT to Achieve Ones Potential, Gary Craig www.emofree.com talks in depth about the writings on our walls as a metaphor for our self talk; the attitudes, opinions & beliefs that we have accumulated over the years from our parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, religion, peers, books, TV and an endless list of other "authorities" in our lives, that we use to define ourselves and our self worth. Our self-judgments are a reflection of the accumulated writings on our walls both positive and negative.

ERASING NEGATIVE SELF-SCRIPTS

According to Gary Craig,"we all have different words and statements posted on our walls. The "truths" written on your walls are different from the "truths" written on mine. However, what we may have come to believe as truths about ourselves may not really be "truths" at all. They are just the guidelines we have adopted for getting through life AND many of them are fictions...our cans and cant's are written on those walls and we obey those dictates as though they were real, without the awareness that they are simply hand-me-down beliefs that were written on our walls by others.

These writings may indeed contain many negative self scripts which are the negative statements, negative descriptions, deprecating self remarks, negative attitudes and self-perceptions we hold to be true about ourselves, but which only serve to limit our success and happiness and deplete our self confidence.

So before we can become self-affirming, we need to identify and erase the negative beliefs we hold to be true about ourselves. By tapping on your negative self-scripts you can clear away a lifetime of accumulated and outdated negative programming and replace it with more positive, life enhancing self-scripts, creating real and dramatic changes in your level of self-confidence.

You can use EFT to identify and release all of your accumulated negative self-scripts.

Clearing the negative self-scripts from your mental closet can have major implications for your overall mental health and wellbeing.

Investing time in yourself to systematically EFT (spring-clean) all your negative self scripts out of existence, is an exercise in self-care and self love.

HOW TO BECOME AN "ESTEEM GENERATOR"

STEP 1: The first step in becoming your own esteem generator is to release all of your negative self scripts. Begin by making a list under each of the following categories:

1. Negative beliefs you have about yourself and of which you remind yourself daily. E.g. Im a bad mother I dont deserve to be loved Im a useless so and so

2. Negative statements about yourself which sprinkle your everyday conversation. E.g. Im not very good at. Im not good with money

3. Self-deprecating remarks that influence your behavior or beliefs. Im a loser Im so stupid Im a failure

4. Negative descriptions given to you by members of your family of origin or peer group when you were younger onto which you hold even to this day. E.g. you will never amount to anything youre too big for your boots

5. Negative feedback you get from your spouse, boss, teacher, colleagues, children, parents, relatives, or others that you take personally and incorporate into your personal belief system. E.g. Youll never save up for your own home, the way you waste your money

6. Negative self-images you have of your body, looks, face, weight, coloring, hair, feet, or other parts of your body, which as you visualize, influence your presentation of self to others. I hate my fat thighs Im ugly

7. Negative assessment you or others have made of your competency, skills, ability, knowledge, intelligence, creativity, or common sense. You have agreed with this internally and, thus, believe it true of you. E.g. you dont have the brain for business

8. Negative stories about your past behavior, failures, or performances that you systematically run over in your mind and which influence your current conduct. E.g. once a cheater, always a cheater, once a smoker, always a smoker" etc.

9. Negative attitudes about the possibility of your achievement of success in your life; these influence your motivation, effort, and drive for attainment of goals. E.g. I will never get a promotion/pay rise

10. Negative visualizations you have of your current status or state in life to your personal detriment. E.g. Im just a housewife

11. Feelings of guilt for real or imagined debilitating wrongs you have committed that prevent positive self-valuing thoughts. E.g. I dont deserve happiness because I cheated on my ex girlfriend.

12. Negative prophecies that you or others have made about yourself, your future, your success, your relationships, your family, or your health. E.g. Ill never find my perfect partner

Now that you have created a list of all your negative self scripts, start with the most highly rated script or the most highly charged belief and apply EFT to each item on your list.

Examples:

Even though Im a bad mother, I deeply and completely love and accept myself

Even though I dont deserve to be loved, I deeply and completely love and accept myself

Even though Im not good with money etc

STEP 2: Counter negative self-scripts and feel better about yourself with these I Catching Mirror Exercises!

EFT Practitioners - How To Handle Execssive Crying In A Session

If your client cries for a long time, shakes, or quivers during an EFT session release, this is how I deal with it. I hope this helps give you a guide that you can work with.

I am using "her" instead of "they" for a change. However, this in my experience happens just as often with men as it does with women. I attract very sensitive people, and so I hope this helps from my experience. Get her to lie down as you tap on her. Start gently, by just tapping on all the points as she vents and cries. Keep giving her tissues, let her cry. Give her extra time in the session, not just a one-hour session. If she is an online or phone client, just instruct her to tap continuously on all the points, no need for words, whilst she cries. Reassure her she is in a safe place where it is safe to cry. The crying will stop. Just take the words out and give her a safe place to let go and be supported. After say, about 20 sessions, she will be ready for more structured yet extremely gentle sessions. Step by step. Give it time.

The reason for having her lie down is to relax her body. When we sit up, our muscles are not as relaxed as when we are lying down. A massage bed or a couch of some sort or even sitting her down on a chair and lifting her legs up on an opposite chair can help. If she wants to sit up, respect that.

The way to tap is to use tapping points that are non-intrusive. They also have to be respectful of her tears. If she is on her back, her tears will be flowing either side of her eyes, towards the ears, so you have to miss the Side of the Eye point. If she has a tissue in her right hand, keep observing her right hand and arm; when you see them raise towards her eyes or nose to dry her eyes or blow her nose, do not tap on the right side, just on the left. This is not a problem when you are doing EFT online or by phone. Then you can simply say something like "Don't worry, just tap with one hand on any convenient points while you dry her eyes and blow your nose with the other hand." If in her back, make sure her back is well supported and she has some pillows or cushions under her knees. If she is most comfortable on her side, let her lie on her side and provide her with enough pillows or cushions to protect her neck. On the side and on a chair, you can also tap on the sides of the back, either side of the spine. She may also want to be covered, as this release and consequent relaxation can make the client feel chilly.

Tap on yourself if the client is tapping on herself. This way, you will calm down and be able to control the situation in a safe and caring manner more easily. If tapping directly on the client, please make sure you observe any country/state laws about touching clients, and ask God/the Universe to allow you to tap on the client for your distress watching this happen as well. You will find that it is best to tap on easy points, like the Top of the Head, Eye Brow, Third Eye, Finger Points, Gamut Point, Ankle Point (not for pregnant women), Karate Chop. Regularly raising the clients' arm to reach the Under Arm point can be intrusive or threatening. If you can easily reach the Collarbone point, by all means this is a good one. The Under Eye, Nose, and Chin may feel intrusive as someone quivers in that area as they sob. Remember, ant quivering and shaking is a release of the freeze response. This is when part of us is frozen in time, space, energy, whatever dimension we cannot as yet fully understand. The quivering, crying, and shaking may seem extreme, but if that is the way this client releases, let it be.

Let it be and let it go, with peace and loving intention.

EFT Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The idea of quickly releasing negative emotions by tapping is a new paradigm, only discovered decades ago. However it is based on 5000 years of Chinese acupuncture. And it works time after time as acupuncture does. With similarly surprisingly quick results. And unlike acupuncture, we can do EFT over the phone.

======================================

==Try it on everything?
How can EFT work for so many issues such as business stress, fears and phobias, pain, traumas, medical events? The unifying concept is that the negative thoughts and memories in our minds, and the uncomfortable sensations (including chronic pain) in our bodies, hold us back from thinking and acting in our own highest and best interest. And chronic pain, illness and anxiety, as well as repeated failures and self sabotage are often the result of old stories and traumas somehow kicking around in our minds and our bodies... holding us back. EFT tapping releases the stuff that holds us back.

==How is EFT is like psychological acupuncture?
We tap on acupuncture points while paying attentions to our physical and emotional symptoms. Physical symptoms include all levels of pain as well as less intense sensations.

==How do Stress, Frustration, Grief, Fear, etc, affect the body?
Emotions can feel like physical sensations, such as tightness or heaviness, in the stomach, chest or somewhere else in the body.  Stress, etc, also shows up as itching, actual pain, chronic disease, allergies or even an unspecified awareness of a part of the body.

==What about negative events?
Our old and new stories impact our lives now.  We tap while thinking about the images, sounds, words, actions, emotions, feelings, and physical sensations connected with those events.

==Do we forget those events?
Not at all. We simply release the emotional charge surrounding them. It is our reactions to those events that cause the problem. As we release the negative feelings about the problem, we can feel better.

==And we use EFT for...BUT WHAT IF:
I am not willing to give up my memories.
I am not willing to forego my anger.
I have good reasons to hold on to my negative emotions.
Anyone in my situation would feel the same way.
Who will I be without this story?
I dont deserve to feel peaceful about this event.
Mine is different and real.

==Will I see immediate results?
Sometimes. Delayed reactions are also common. You can easily try EFT tapping anytime you feel mental or physical discomfort, and you may feel better right away... or maybe the tapping will start an active process in your body to allow yourself to feel better tomorrow or the next day.

==How should I be persistent?
Keep tapping, even without words. You can do something good for yourself.

==Can I do EFT for myself?
Yes, you absolutely can and will benefit greatly by tapping a number of times a day, especially, as soon as you wake up in the morning. Even when you are working with a complementary, or medical practitioner, you will turbocharge your healing response (emotional and physical) by tapping between appointments. Also tap about your daily challenges when you are feeling fine.

==How often do I tap?
As often as you think about it. Twice a day is good, and every two hours, when you feel like taking a break, is even better. Tap for 30 seconds or 5 minutes any time, and also tap for 15 minutes to an hour or more. Certainly tap for yourself in the moments when you are stressed or in pain.

==When do I call a practitioner?
When you arent getting the relief you want; when past traumas and memories are too painful to access; when you cant access your feelings or memories and need help with the next step; when you feel overwhelmed by the enormity of your situation; and when you have a chronic issue which is not responding to your tapping.

==How long will the EFT process take?
The short answer is that the process for your specific issue can take between one and three months, sometimes more, sometimes less. This depends on the complexity of your issue rather than on the severity. If the problem is truly the result of a single traumatic event, such as an accident, or one humiliating experience, it may take one or two weeks.

However, many of the challenges that we seek help for are based on more than one traumatic event, as well as accumulated habits and limiting beliefs. Issues that permeate a persons lifestyle, such as weight loss, depression, addictions, serious diseases, and some anxiety issues can take even longer to resolve.

EFT is so effective that within the first few weeks you can expect to notice positive changes in the way you feel and act. That is the reason that many practitioners are comfortable offering a money-back-guarantee for their services.

People who self-tap daily will often have quicker results. We are all works in process and EFT offers the ability to clear our negative stuff that comes up in our daily lives.

EFT For a Car Accident

EFT For a Car Accident

After a car accident, EFT can be an extremely useful tool to help anyone involved to overcome the physical and emotional effects of that trauma. I would urge people who have been in car accidents, whether recent or long past, to tap on acupuncture points while reviewing the images, physical sensations, any aches and pains you have, as well as all the thoughts and emotions that come to mind while tapping on the incident. First learn EFT, and if you are unduly upset about the incident get help from an EFT practitioner.

Over the past few months I worked with 2 people who, in separate incidents, had been rear-ended by another car. I worked with one person for only one session in which I believe she resolved most, but not all, of the effects of the accident. I worked with the other person about 8 times and she is also satisfied that EFT helped her get over the trauma. When I first spoke with them, they were each very upset and were unable to cope with daily life in their usual capable manner. In order to protect the privacy of these two people, rather than discuss their issues and how we dealt with them, I will simply list a number of the aspects (there were more) that they brought up and which we resolved, for the most part:

Physical - back pain, neck pain, black and blue around eyes, being in the emergency room with an uncomfortable splint, dizziness, feeling faint, sleeplessness, extreme anxiety, moderate anxiety, shaking, headaches.

Images seeing the driver of the other car, the expression on his face, the other people at the accident and their facial expressions, the ambulance, the first thing I saw after the crash, my car, the other car, the darkness outside.

Somatic - hitting head to steering wheel, bumping head back to headrest, the impact, the feeling right after the impact, the noise of the impact, feeling faint.

Emotional emotional reaction to the expressions on their faces and to what they said, scared, afraid, dissociated, feeling sorry for the other driver, afraid of the other driver, afraid to drive, anxious, stress about deaingl with insurance and bills, intense reaction a week later when saw damage to car, depression, sadness, uncertainty.

Auditory the noise at impact, the ambulance sirens, what people said at the accident, thoughts at the accident, thoughts after the accident, fault and blame, words about fear, words used to describe accident, doctors and nurses words.

I tapped with them on all of these and more physical and emotional feelings as well as the images. As veteran tappers they also tapped liberally on themselves without my help. Using EFT and a few other modalities, we reframed many of the thoughts, lightened many of the images and kept tapping until they felt more relaxed, peaceful and comfortable in their minds and bodies.

I encourage you tap on your car incidences and associated thoughts and feelings. And again I emphasize that you first learn EFT and if you are unduly upset about the incident, engage the services of an EFT practitioner.

EFT and S-E-X

EFT and S-E-X

, what could be more intriguing? A Dartmouth College study of 16,000 Americans on Money, Sex and Happiness revealed "the more sex, the happier the person." Given that most people want happiness, sex and relationship, then exploring what gets in the way of full sexual expression is an important topic.

Most, if not all sources of sexual dysfunction, have its roots in unresolved emotional issues. In this article we will explore insights and distinctions to assist individuals and couples to help resolve any bedroom disharmony.

Emotional conflicts may originate from childhood, past or current relationships. These commonly manifest in physical conditions such as excessive menstrual bleeding, infertility, loss of libido, premature ejaculation, frigidity, addictions, chronic pain, phobias, fibroids, cysts, obesity, heart conditions, vaginal atrophy, migraines, etc. It has been gratifying to see these conditions resolve using something as quick and effective as EFT.

A key factor in creating or restoring a satisfying sex life is healing the ability to connect with ones self and ones partner. Generally speaking, both sexes do this quite differently; most women need to feel "connected" in order to enjoy sex, while many men say they need sex to feel connected! Is it any wonder that we are facing what some experts are calling an epidemic of sexless marriages in America? This same study revealed that 25% of adults in the U.S. had no sex in the previous 12 months.

Some reasons for many women's inability to express their sexual desire include; poor self-image (acquired from media, past lovers, family of origin, etc), shame, insecurity, fear of abandonment, stress, time pressures, fear of pregnancy, lack of feeling safe due to past sexual abuse, or intimacy issues in a current partnership. Many women end up choosing, consciously or not, to forgo sex rather than to deal with these charged issues. Hence, no connection, no sex, no happy, no marriage and an oft cited U.S. Census Bureau divorce rate estimate of 50%!

A case in point: I worked with a female client who had lost all interest in sex with her husband of ten years. Since one of the tenets of her orthodox religion was to have many children, I began by having her tap on her feelings of sadness and inadequacy which dissipated quickly. I asked her to find what was most fearful about the possibility of having another child and she immediately answered that she would be completely overwhelmed. Her husband had just recently begun his own business and was unavailable to assist her at home with the four children they had. Once she confronted those fears, discussed her feelings with her husband, and healed from past memories of being unsupported, (EFT was used throughout the entire process) her desire for sex immediately returned.

Now "on Mars" we have men, who often find their greatest connection through sex. Manifestations of emotional conflicts show up as impotence (20% of U.S. men have tried Viagra and 20 million men use it worldwide regularly!), premature ejaculation, prostate issues, addictions, and performance anxiety. Some men seek the connection through sex via extramarital or pornographic sexual encounters. Hence a man's need to express sexuality physically may result in an estimated 50-60% extramarital affair rate and 10% of adults admitted to having an internet pornography addiction, 72% of which are males.

Case study: Richard asked for some understanding regarding his erectile dysfunction problem. He had been plagued with this for 10 years and because the side effects of "the little blue pill" frightened him, he refused to take it. The underlying issue was Richard's pattern of attracting very strong women into his life. When asked when his E.D. had begun, we found that it had coincided with the ending of his last marriage. His ex-wife in fact had been verbally abusive, and as a subconscious barrier to entering into another potentially dangerous liaison, his body had made it physically impossible. After one session Richard was healed. In other words, the gig was up!

Beyond the celluloid erotica and the fantasy world of romance novels, there lies the possibility of an authentic, passionate, intimate dance of relationship that allows for personal history and gender differences. The courage to accept another's needs and the willingness to explore each others emotional barriers to full sexual expression has the potential to transform mere fornication into sacred sexuality. Embracing a healthy physical sexual connection, beyond the fears and emotional baggage, can be a beautiful pathway to not only increase ones happiness, but is also a potential path along which the Divine in each other can be sought.

EFT and Borrowing Benefits

EFT and Borrowing Benefits

EFT and Borrowing Benefits

This January I was co-facilitating an EFT teleclass on New Years Resolutions and releasing the blocks to attaining goals. During the live teleclass my fellow coach, Laura Whitelaw, began working with one of the listeners, who I will refer to as Peace Seeker, on an issue that was currently disrupting any peace in her life. We were all tapping along as EFTers always do when listening to someone else go through a clearing, not just to support that person, but to Borrow Benefits as well.

EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques is a meridian based therapy that involves tapping on a sequence of meridian points while holding a negative thought or emotion in your mind in order to release it. The reason this works, often when nothing else will, is that a negative thought, belief or emotion is nothing more than a disruption in the bodys energy field, according to EFT creator Gary Craig. EFT has been successful in relieving stress, anxiety, limiting beliefs, fears, phobias, addictions, depression, physical pain, emotional trauma, and a list of many other life limiting afflictions and if that werent enough one of the miraculous side benefits of tapping along for the benefit of someone else, is the release of your own completely unrelated issue by Borrowing Benefits!

So, getting back to our teleclass, there I am sporadically tapping along with Peace Seeker and the rest of the callers, through a beautifully creative EFT clearing guided by Laura and thinking briefly about the lack of peace in my own life at times, but mostly thinking about some creative ideas I had in mind for I was to coach the next participant on the call. Our Peace Seeker completely released all of her stress and feelings of anger and made some self discoveries as well and the bunch of us were all feeling really good and relaxed by the end of the call.

It wasnt till the next day though that I realized a sense of peace in my own life that wasnt there before. I have three children, all boys, ages 9, 12 and 15, so as you can imagine dealing with sibling fights, hormones and other stuff life can be far from peaceful. At that time I also had the responsibility of a dying elderly mother in the hospital, so life was quite stressful, yet ever since that teleclass things have been noticeably different.

My mother has since moved on to her spiritual home and my boys are still boys, but I have an inner peace now that allows me to react less to my environment and take things more in stride. As a coach I use techniques like EFT, ZPoint, and a handful of other energy methods on myself as much with clients, if not more, so I have noticed gradual, incredible shifts in myself and my life during the last several years, but I still continue to be amazed and blessed by the power of these simple techniques and especially the power of Borrowing Benefits!

Duck-Billed-Platypus - An Odd Character

Duck-Billed-Platypus - An Odd Character

Duck-Billed-Platypus - An Odd Character

The platypus was first written about in 1797. An account described it as a small fur-bearing animal with webbed feet and beaver like tail. The head featured a flat beak like a duck. The feet were webbed for efficient swimming. Long sharp claws on the feet help it burrow out a den. Thus the platypus lives both in water and on land.

The scientific elite were suspicious that the account was a wild story like sailors of the time told about mermaids. When a pickled pair of duck-billed-platypus specimens were dissected by a noted anatomist, the scientific world was stunned to learn it was a genuine animal. Scientists had difficulty believing there was an animal that could lay eggs and also suckle its youngsters. In 1884 a British zoologist found two platypus eggs. The eggs had soft shells like those laid by a lizard. The platypus is a very old species. It is thought to be a link species between reptiles and mammals.

The name platypus comes from the Greek language for flat foot. Still more was learned about this animal. Its cheeks contain specialized pouches used to store sand and gravel. These minerals are used to grind up worms and small shelled water organisms. The platypus has the ability to close both its eyes and ear openings when it swims under water.

The mother platypus oozes milk from her abdomen. The platy kittens lick the milk off of her fur. The male platypus has poisonous spurs located on his rear ankles. This is used for defence. Platypus are conscientious groomers. They preen their fur with their rear claws after emerging from the water. Their rear limbs have a special ball-and-socket joint allowing them to reach all over their body to groom their fur. The size of the platypus is about twenty inches in length. They weigh between two and three pounds. They are big eaters for their size. Mostly they feed between dusk and the early morning hours. Platypus swim with their eyes closed and sense their prey, guided with their sensitive bill

Platypus have been bred in captivity. Ten years is the longest time a pair of platypus have been kept alive in captivity. They were featured at the Bronx Zoo in New York. The pair were named Cecil and Penelope and they lived on a feast of twenty five thousand worms a month. Their diet was spiced up with crayfish, frogs and egg custard. The Platypus were the most expensive species to take care of in the zoo as they ate a higher dollar amount than the elephants did. The zoo keepers hoped they would produce some young ones and they were watched closely. At one point the keepers thought that Penelope might be expecting young ones as she had secluded herself inside her burrow. Before the cold winter months started they dug her up. She was found alone with no young ones. Later she escaped from the zoo, never to be seen again. Cecil lasted another two years before he died.

The life span of a platypus is seventeen years. They have few natural enemies but these include black rats and carnivorous cod fish.

The platypus is now protected now by Australian law, ensuring their continued survival in the future.

Dog Food Ingredients Explained

Dog Food Ingredients Explained

Dog Food Ingredients Explained

What do they mean by fillers?

Used in low quality, cheap commercial dog foods, fillers are basically put in the dog's "food" to save the manufacturer money, not to increase nutritional values. These include inedible and hard to digest products such as: cereal byproducts, - cottonseed hulls, - crushed peanut shells, - straw, - corn and crushed corncobs, - weeds, and - feathers.

A cheap dog food filled with corn fillers, listed as corn, corn meal, and corn gluten meal should be avoided as this is used as substitute for higher quality animal protein sources.

These fillers are not just unpalatable, but can be dangerous to your pet. They can cause digestive problems, allergies, and in immune deficient puppies or older pets can cause severe medical problems. .

What is a by-product?

Found in cheap dog food, meat by-products are euphemisms for parts of animals that wouldn't be considered edible by any smart consumer. Meat by-products actually do not contain meat. By-products are part of the animals that are left over after the meat has been stripped away from the bone. Thrown into the cheap dog food stew pot then would be items such as heads, feet, entrails, hoofs, entrails, lungs, spleen, kidneys, brains, stomach, bones, blood, intestines and lots of other parts of the carcass not fit for human consumption.

Also, the boiled down flesh of road kill, zoo animals, and 4-D (dead, diseased, disabled dying) livestock is considered okay with these manufacturers. This also can include dogs and cats that have been euthanized. Avoid dog food with blood meal, which is an inexpensive protein booster. The animal source is usually not stated, and the blood can be contaminated with residues of hormones, or medications.

What is a non-specific meat source?

If the main protein source is listed as "meat" this is to be avoided, It is always mystery meat such as: spoiled rotten meat from the grocery store (Styrofoam wrap and all), - Road kill that can't be buried on the roadside, - heads, feet, skin, hair, feathers, carpel and tarsal joints, and mammary glands are used from the slaughterhouses. Animals that died are used, cancerous tissue and all, - tumors and worm infested organs are also rendered. Injection sites are rendered, blood clots and all. Stomach and unclean bowels are rendered. Contaminated material including blood is rendered. Carcasses with high levels of drugs or pesticides in excess of limits prescribed under the FDA (not fit for human consumption) are rendered.

Everything is pitched into large vats and slowly ground, then cooked at low temps till the grease rises to the top. This is the source of animal fat listed in the dog food ingredients. The leftovers are put, raw, into a press where the moisture is squeezed out, and this is the "meat" used in the cheap dog food brands.

Why are artificial colors, preservatives and flavors used?

Flavor is added, because most pets wouldn't eat the finished product without some sort of cover up for the horrible smell. These additional flavors are usually from rancid restaurant grease. This grease sometimes sits in dumpsters, out in the sun for weeks. This is what the pet food manufacturers buy to add as flavoring, which is sprayed onto the kibble. Also sugar or corn syrup is used to cover up the bad taste of the inferior kibble.

Different dyes are used to make the food look good to us, the pet owner. The pet certainly doesn't care what color their food is, and the dyes are not necessary and are considered harmful.

Artificial preservatives are used to extend the shelf life of the dog food. The main ones to avoid are: BHA (butylated hydroxytolulene), propyl gallate, propylene glycol (also used in automotive antifreeze, and is suspected of causing red blood cell damage) and ethoxyquin. These are all potentially cancer causing agents that your pets are eating every day.

This all sounds pretty grim, but rest assured there are many extremely excellent, ultra premium organic dog foods now being manufactured without any of the above crap in them. These highly reputable and conscientious companies have philosophies aimed at providing you and your pet the best of the best when it comes to nutrition and peace of mind.

A lot of pet owners are also now making their own all natural dog food at home, and this is always better than the junk the commercial pet food manufacturers are feeding our pets. It is easy, and comparable in price to buying the premium organic dog food brands, as long as you use a proper nutritionally balanced dog food recipe. There are many all natural, healthy dog food recipe books for sale, and also readily available on the internet are all sorts of high quality dog food recipes E-books and websites featuring home cooked pet food.

Whatever you choose for your pet, remember we speak for them, and choose the best for them that you are able to give.

Do Your Readers Feel Your Blog Post Content

Do Your Readers Feel Your Blog Post Content

Do you know how to write a good blog? A good blog post makes you feel somethingit either inspires or motivates you to act. That action can be to think a new thought, believe a new belief, or ask for more information. Perhaps it asks the reader to join your newsletter for helpful, relevant tips associated with your niches interests.

Whatever you do in your blog post, design its content to develop a genuine relationship with your target market. How do you do it? Give your blog post a specific voice that appeals to your fans. The friendly blog post voice talks to the one avatar that represents your ideal prospect. This prospect is already interested in buying your ideas, products and services.

He or she wants expert information from you. Your blog is like a good friend sharing secrets that reveal how to do a specific task easier. The blog you write gives solid information that truly helps your target achieve goals or solve problems. The expertise you share simply make life better for your fans.

Give Your Blog A Creative, Helpful Voice

The blog post copy (also known as marketing text) introduces information using your creative voice. If you want to know how to write a good blog, youve got to practice writing it with a feeling voice. Your blogs content is a voice in the wilderness. It answers commonly asked questions about how to solve a problem or achieve a specific goal for your niche.

Helpful Metaphor for How to Write A Good Blog

Imagine camping in the wilderness. You go on a hike and you get lost. You would give ANYTHING to be saved from being lost. You need food, water, a breath mint. (Boy, is your breath starting to smell like a bears stinky underarms! Phew!)

But you dont know how to find your way alone. As a general routine, you are lucky the forest rangers regularly patrol the forest. Suddenly you are saved on one of their routine patrols (similar to you regularly writing, publishing and sharing new blog post content)! You are grateful you are no longer lost. And, they happen to carry breath mints!

The forest ranger is not salesy about saving you, you poor lost soul. He or she simply guides you out of your dilemma. You develop an instant trust and liking for this friend. Thats the kind of relationship your blog must make with your target market.

How To Write A Good Blog Using A Personal Voice

Like the forest ranger who lead you out of being lost, your blogs post has a voice. The copy is the voice. Your words inform, lead, direct your ideal prospect through, in baby steps, how to get to a specific outcome or experience. That specific outcome or experience is a solution that shows them either how to reduce or completely eliminate their pain.

What I mean by baby steps is talking about different aspects of the pain. In the current example, the topic is about being disorganized. Thats your readers pain. But the pain of being disorganized and not knowing how to easily be better organized is made up of several different viewpoints or aspects of the pain of being disorganized.

If a person is reading your post, he or she is already experiencing the pain of disorganization. That means, he or she is interested in a solution to his or her pain. This is the person who is ready to buy your ideas, products or solution.

Knowing how to write a good blog includes knowing how to effectively write about pain points. These are things your niche can already relate to. You need to ONLY talk about relevant topics of interest to this niche. These are things to which your niche loses sleep over at night.

A sample of baby steps regarding disorganization contains the feelings about being disorganized. Such as

Loathing
Frustration
Irritation about inefficient productivity
Aggravation about wasting time
Unhappiness or worry about wasting or having insufficient money
Angry about wasting precious resources generally
Seeing and not knowing how to improve personnel inefficiency or ineffectiveness

These terms all describe some different aspects or negative effects of disorganization. You could talk about any of them in a blog post. Talking about these aspects of disorganization keeps the pain points in the readers conscious mind.

But complaining and keeping the reader consciously aware ONLY of the pain is simply a whine fest. Its important to also provide the solution to the disorganization problem.

Write an ebook about how to eliminate or reduce these pain points for improved productivity. Thats what they are looking for. They want to be productive, to have strength, build something, achieve a specific goal or solve a certain problem. Your ebook is the guide to help them no longer be lost in the business forest!

Ask your readers to join your email list to get their free copy of your life-changing ebook on showing them how to be organized in sixty seconds. They already want the solution so give it to them!

When you write a blog post, have a personal conversation with your target audience. Use feeling words. Instead of writing about facts, be personal in your content. Here are some examples of the feeling way and the factual way of saying something.

Factual way:
Entrepreneurs are too disorganized.

Feeling way:
Do you loathe being disorganized?

Can you see the difference between the two ways of talking about disorganization? One asks a general question about a topic. The copys voice is general instead of personal. This rather impersonal content could be talking to a group of entrepreneurial zoo keepers, members of Local 123 of the professional Burnt Potato Chip Pickers Union, or generally to any other non-descript business entity.

The second way directly talks to a persons emotions who can relate to being disorganized and disliking being that way. Once you talk generally about disorganization, you then get into the specifics, perhaps for your niche. Makes the content compelling so they will want to act more organized instead of disorganized. Talk about the benefits of being organized to be more productive.

The words in the sample contain a verb (loathe) that addresses the pain of being disorganized. Remember, verbs are action words. For your reader to take action, you need to use action words in your copy. If you want to be the blog expert on knowing how to write a good blog, regularly write posts with all these writing concepts.

Notice the difference between writing in factual and also feeling ways? Use both ways of creating content to convey your thoughts as you blog. Why?

Your prospects want to know why they should read your blog or do business with you. Its the old, Whats in it for me? question prospects ask before getting in a relationship with you. People will typically make a decision based on comparative analysis. They will give practical, factual reasons for NOT buying and emotional reasons for buying.

Let your copys voice focuses on the factual and emotional benefits of being in a relationship with you. Convey this in copy about using your products and services, too. When you talk about the benefits of being in a relationship with you, you proactively answer the Whats in it for me? question that is already subconsciously in their mind.

Dont you just love ideas that genuinely help you succeed in your business? Me, too! Hey, lets talk. What else can we do to make things easier for you in your business? Email me at yoursecretwishes@gmail.com.

Definition EFT Tapping Points

Recent years have seen the development of a family of therapies that offer clinically effective alternatives to traditional, long-term treatments. These Power Therapies only require one to three sessions, but the results are usually permanent. Each of them provides noticeable relief from negative emotions, pain, and trauma by "rewiring neural pathways" in the brain. It doesn't matter whether the pain suffered is physical or emotional. These methods bring relief from fears and traumas such as: phobias, depression, grief, rape, natural disasters, crime, childhood sexual abuse, and post traumatic stress.

Although their methods differ from each other in emphasis and approach, Power Therapies all work by interrupting old habits and reflexes that were established around the painful incidents. Painful reactions are replaced with non-distressful ones. These methods work by triggering brain activity below the level of conscious control. Emotional intensity also goes down. Relieving lifelong problems in moments seem to defy logic, but a body of documented scientific studies prove the benefits are real. Fortunately, a person doesn't have to believe in these techniques for them to work. EFT is Easy Enough for a Person to

Learn to Do in Minutes

It doesn't matter whether their pain results from something recent or from long ago - or whether or not the cause is known. EFT (Emotional Freedom Therapy) works on both the emotional level and the physical level. The mind focuses on the pain or problem at the same time that another response is introduced, whereby a neutral response replaces a painful one. Everyone suffers from self-limiting fears to some extent. But some people are paralyzed by them. From my experience, the most powerful fears are the unconscious ones. During the tapping sequence with my clients, after one fear gets cleared, another one comes up to be healed.

Once people learn how the tapping is done, it's simple enough for them to use on themselves whenever they sense fear or pain.

Find more information at my website, http://www.susanquinn.net or at Gary Craig's extensive EFT website, http://www.emofree.com. He offers a free, downloadable instruction manual on that site, with tons of how- to and case studies.

EFT Always Taps Exactly the Right Place

It was developed by Gary Craig, who simplified Roger Callahan's revolutionary Thought Field Therapy (TFT). TFT therapists follow complex tapping sequences (protocols) for numerous symptom categories. By contrast, EFT taps on the same meridian points on the face and body for every problem. Rather than focusing on the traumatic memories (as with most talk-it- out therapies), EFT addresses the true cause, the disruption of the body's energy system. It's unnecessary for a person to relive the painful memories.

EFT works directly on the energy points (meridian system) of the body. Like acupuncture, relief comes (in part) from stimulating the meridians. Only, instead of needles, the person's meridians are tapped with the fingers. Whether EFT is performed by a therapist or self-applied, over 80 percent of people achieve noticeable improvement or complete cessation of the problem. EFT Applies the Same Steps to Any Negative Emotion

Craig's system is based on the concept, "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

He reasons, since every negative emotion has the same cause (an electrical disruption - a "zzzzzt") they can all be relieved in a similar manner. It's unnecessary to focus on diagnosis (or delve into the old wounds) to be successful with EFT. EFT Simplified Sequence: - Identify the problem - Apply the Basic Recipe - Relief - Complete; Partial; None - Test and re-apply if necessary - Apply Adjusted Basic Recipe Each element must be performed precisely as described, and in the proper order.

Every round of tapping takes about one minute. Tapping can be done by either hand, on either side of the body. Tap solidly with the index and middle finger on each tapping point about seven times. The Basic Recipe Starts with the Setup.
The person starts by identifying their fear, negative emotion, or trauma. THE SETUP SENTENCE "Even though I have this __________, I deeply and completely accept myself." Fill in the blank with a short phrase about the problem being addressed, for example: "anger toward my father" or "nightmares."Sometimes a person can't "accept themselves," so we might tap on just that at first - as in, "Even though I can't accept myself for this and I hate myself right now, I am willing to be willing to accept myself." Repeat the statement out loud three times, while simultaneously tapping the "karate chop" point on the side of the hand (or two specific points on the chest).

The "karate chop" point (abbreviated KC) is located at the side of the hand about an inch below the baby finger. Vigorously tap the point with the fingertips of the index finger and middle finger of the other hand. While either hand will work, it's usually most convenient to tap the KC of the non-dominant hand with the fingers of the dominant hand. This is followed by the Sequence of tapping again. Modify the Setup statement, based on the new issue(s) that might present itself. Then tap another round. Do as many rounds as necessary until the problem is gone. That may require several sessions.

Example of a Client Session

For my clients, I combine EFT with hypnosis and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing - another Power Therapy). Treatments are custom tailored to each person's particular needs. My success rate is over 80% of clients reporting 60% to 100% reduction of symptoms after treatment. PROBLEM: A woman in her 30's is afraid to have some mandatory surgery. She's terrified of them putting the anesthetic tube down her throat, as in a previous surgery. FEELING or BELIEF: "I will choke to death" is the belief. FEAR is the feeling that she experienced. The woman rated her level of fear a ten (on a one-to-ten scale), as she recalled the prior operation when she thought she was choking. First, EMDR (another Power Therapy) lowered the fear. She said after processing with the Eye Movements that the fear went down to a level seven. The belief was, I will be alone (and die that way). When we started EFT, I had her tap the set-up point on the hand and say with me three times: "Even though I am afraid I will be left alone to die, and that I am helpless, and I judge myself for having this fear, I completely accept myself right now." We did one round of tapping on "This FEAR." Then she reported feeling cold and alone. She remembered a skiing accident when she was lost in the snow for a few hours (where she felt she was surely going to die alone).

We tapped on different aspects of this incident for several rounds. Then she recalled other fears she's had in her life, which we tapped on. Then we tapped on the humiliation she's felt for having certain fears. Events that are attached to the same feeling (this type of fear) all come up, one after another.

After we had tapped on each one until it was gone, she measured her level of disturbance around that issue. It was now down to a two. We tapped on "this remaining fear" and it came down to a zero.

Then she made a deep sigh, and her face registered a sense of relief and peace. The new belief: "I am strong and have survived many things that would kill most people." We tapped this belief in with several rounds. This strengthens the belief even more. We went back to the memory of the FIRST operation, where she got her tube phobia. She focused on this memory (and checked inside her body for the feeling that went with it). She reported she felt no fear at all.

I had her "run a movie" in her mind of this first operation, from beginning to end; and at the same time, she was to monitor her body for any feeling of fear. I asked her to tell me if she felt any sense of fear as she recounted the experience in detail. At one place in her story, she felt fear of about six. After several rounds of tapping on this, the fear went to zero. We then repeated this process with her "running a movie" of the original experience in her mind. This time she got all the way through the story with no feelings of fear. At the next session the fears were at zero as well.

Two later sessions Future Paced how she'd deal with the surgery with her family and office mates. Future Pacing is a way to create the behavior we want to have in a future situation, through imagery enhanced with EMDR and EFT. She called me several months later to report that she'd gone through the surgery with very little fear. When she felt some fear, she tapped on it using EFT. And it went away. She was grateful for the work we did, because she was also able to ride the train to San Diego with her husband (something she'd never been able to do).

Eliminate Everyday Fear and Frustrations as they Arise

The most amazing thing about EFT - clearing these fears removes scary and self-limiting beliefs that have been driving a person their whole life. The beliefs that have the most power are unconscious, so they have to be carefully teased out.
I teach these simple-to-learn EFT techniques to all my clients, including children (who are very good at this) because I think it's a wonderful tool for managing their anxiety and other negative emotions. People who learn to discharge their fears right away are pleased to discover they don't have to be afraid of them any more.

Dear Dr. Romance Why Do I Always Have Sex on the First Date

Dear Dr. Romance:

I'm trying to find out why I always have sex on the first date. This is not to say that I have sex with every girl I date, or even that every girl I've gone out with has even been interested in me. It is simply to say that the overwhelming majority of my "situations" have been one date situations, for whatever reason and on the occasions that the woman is interested in me, we usually end up having sex.

To make matters worse (or more clear), I can meet someone on Thursday, call her on Friday, and usually by the end of that conversation we're talking about sex and she's ready to go at it, even if we were talking about politics at the beginning of the conversation. In the end, one of two things usually happens:

1: I have sex and never see the girl again (even if I call), or

2: Inever see the girl again and never have sex with her (even if I call).

This is both a serious compliment to me (who doesn't want to be sexy?) and a serious impediment as I'd like to actually get to know one of these women and find someone decent to have a relationship with. However, without knowing how to prevent the sex and/or the running away (on the occasions that the woman is interested but decides not to pick up the phone ever again) from happening, it is proving difficult to figure out the cause and thus prevent it from happening.

Asking the women hasn't yielded any answers, nor has asking the few female friends I have left. One did mention that she thought my intelligence might be a problem for most women... then she became attracted to me and I never saw her again... others have mentioned that I have a sexy speaking voice... but nothing I feel that can really help me out. Do you have any ideas?

Dear Reader:

I think you must be, consciously or not, leading the conversation to sex. It's probably a habit you have developed over years, and it works for you to some degree, so you aren't really aware of it. You're right. Sex on the first date almost always means it's a one-night stand. So, if you want a real, lasting relationship, you've got to learn to say "later" -- postpone sex until at least the fourth or fifth date. and give both of you a chance to get to know each other.

My guess is the women don't take you seriously. They think you're a player, you're using them, and they decide to just have sex with you (or not)to use you for their pleasure, but they don't want to see you again, because
they don't believe you'll be faithful. You may have developed an unconscious habit of leading the conversation to sex, which makes you look like a player to the women. Therefore, they decide there's no possibility of a relationship, so they either decide to have a one-night stand or to forget it.

To change the habit, you have to decide to wait until at least the third or fourth date to have sex, and to monitor your conversation style to remove sexual hints and invitations. This is not so easy to do, but it can be done. You have to begin with a conversation with yourself, about what you want right now, and what you want for real. "Asking for What You Want"will show you the difference between immediate gratification (one night stand) and long-term satisfaction (relationship).

Understand which one you're going for. If you just want a quickie, fine, there's nothing wrong with it. But, know it means the relationship will go no farther. Usually, it's too difficult to figure out if you want a real relationship on one date, so that's why I say have at least four or five dates, to give you an idea of who this woman is, and whether you'd like a real relationship with her.

Do different things on your dates than you've been doing. Do your usual dates involve drinking? This lowers inhibitions, and makes sex more likely. Do you invite women home with you, or go to their home? That also increases the odds that you'll have sex right away. Instead, take a date somewhere different. Avoid bars. Try a little neighborhood restaurant, and limit yourself to a glass of wine.

For a second date, invite the woman to take a walk somewhere (a nice park, a zoo, a museum) or take her to a ball game (the local college game is cheaper than a pro game, and usually more fun.) Figure out what you're interested in, and try sharing that. If the two of you have similar interests, you're more likely to be compatible.

Perhaps you need to change where you're finding women in the first place: my article "The Fine Art of Squirrel Hunting" will give
you some new ideas. The Unofficial Guide to Dating Again has more ideas on how to make your dating more successful.

Dealing With Grief And Loss

Have you ever lost someone close to you to death? We go through a grief process that was best described by Elizabeth Kublar-Ross in On Death and Dying. In it she talks about the five stages that people go through---denial and isolation; anger; bargaining; depression and finally acceptance. The dying, as well as those who love them, go through these stages although rarely at the same time and these stages are not predictable.

You may think you are in the anger phase, then jump to depression and then, back to denial again. There is no rhyme or reason---only what feels right for each individual at the time. No one can predict how long a phase will last. If you are grieving and some well-meaning person suggests that you shouldn't be feeling what you are feeling, kindly thank them for their concern but know that you are exactly where you need to be.

However, with grief, sometimes you will become aware of something not feeling right. You may think, "I should be over this by now" or "I don't like feeling this way." When you, yourself, recognize that it is time to move beyond where you are at, then trust that feeling as well.

I'd like to talk about grief from a Choice Theory perspective. This will probably take several posts to make sense of it all. I need to start with the Choice Theory expression that all behavior is purposeful since grief is really just a behavior in choice theory terms. Choice theory tells us that everything we do at any point in time is our best attempt to get something we want---some picture we have in our Quality World that will meet one or more of our needs in some way. Grief is no exception.

Once you understand that all behavior is purposeful and that grief is a person's best attempt to get something they want, then it becomes easier to know what to do about it. What could we possibly be trying to get by grieving? Most people would say that there isn't a choice. When someone we love dies, we have to grieve. I say it is natural that we will miss the person's presence in our life but it isn't inevitable that we have to grieve, not in the way most people think of grieving.

The first thing I believe that we are trying to get with our grief is the person who died. When we grieve, it is our best attempt to keep that person alive, at least in our perceived world. We know they no longer exist in the physical world as we know it. However, if we continue to think about them, pine for them, grieve their presence, then it keeps the thought of that person active in our perception and it feels better to us than the total void or absence of the other person.

Another possible advantage of grief is that it shows others just how much we cared for and loved the person who died. I'm not suggesting that people are being manipulative in their grief. What I am saying is that there is a side benefit to grief in that it shows others how much we cared. It also says, "See what a good ___________ I was." Fill in the blank with husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, mother, father, sister, brother, etc.

Grief is also instrumental in getting us the support we need from others during our time of bereavement. People do things for us that we would normally be expected to do ourselves. Again, please don't think that I am suggesting that a grieving person wakes up and "decides" to grieve so someone will stop by the house with a meal. None of this is conscious but I'm merely pointing out the potential advantages of grief.

Once we become totally conscious and aware of what our grief does and doesn't do for us, then comes the hard part. We need to make some decisions about how we want to live.

There are always at least three options in every situation and they can be framed up in terms of---leave it, change it or accept it. With death, you may wonder how someone is going to "leave it." Well, some possible ways would be major denial of the loss, suicide, drugs and/or alcohol abuse, or sinking deep into mental illness, among others.

When we get caught up in changing things, we may continue in our grief as our best attempt to get the person back. That might look like constant trips to the cemetery, frequent conversations with the deceased, refusing to believe he or she is truly gone, constantly talking about the one who's gone. There are many things we can do to attempt to change the reality of the loss.

If and when we come to accept it, we can experience some measure of peace and rejoin the living. A healthy step in this process is finding a way to somehow maintain that person's presence in our lives. Now, this is a very individual thing and you must be very careful not to judge the choices of the bereaved.

Most people saw Meet the Parents. In it, Robert DiNero's character kept the ashes of his mother in an urn on his mantle. Many people do this with the cremated remains of their loved ones. Others place some ashes in a necklace and wear it around their neck. Some will set up scholarship or memorials. When my husband died, his family and I created a wrestling scholarship fund for a local high school wrestler. When my friend lost her 8 year-old son, she had the Houston zoo name the frog exhibit after him!

There are all kinds of creative ways to maintain the person's presence. There is no wrong way. Whatever brings comfort to the bereaved should be supported by those around them. Remember that just because a person is choosing something that may be distasteful or wrong to you, doesn't make it wrong for that person.

When acceptance occurs, then the grieving person can begin to reassimilate back into their life and the lives of those around them but it won't happen overnight. We need patience and loving understanding for those coming back from grief.

Another possible choice is the person who doesn't appear to grieve at all. There may be many explanations for this behavior. The person may be very private and won't do his or her grieving where others can see. Another possibility is that the person is trying to be strong for everyone else. I know I wanted my children to KNOW that I was going to be OK. I didn't want them to believe that they had to take care of me. To some, it seemed that I wasn't grieving enough.

If you are grieving, or you are involved in the life of someone who is grieving, please don't judge yourself or them. Understand that all behavior is purposeful and the person is getting something out of what they are doing. When they become conscious that there is a choice, then they can make a conscious decision about which of the three choices they want to make. Once they know the direction they want to go in, they have to flesh out the details of their plan.

Dealing With Divorce

Divorce is traumatic. Having been through it personally, I can speak to the fact that even if you are ending a terrible marriage, there is still trauma and grieving. You may not be grieving the reality of your marriage, but rather grieving the death of all your hopes and dreams..what you hoped your marriage would become.

When I ended a twelve year disaster of a marriage with divorce, I never expected to feel anything except relief that it was finally over with. I was shocked and dismayed to find that I felt a deep sadness over what my marriage might have become and never did.

Anyone who marries hopes for a happy and fulfilling relationship and a loving partner. My dreams were no different than anyone elses. We all want that happy ending. My marriage was so bad that getting a divorce saved my sanity, and probably saved my life, but in spite of that I grieved.

At the time of my divorce, I had never heard of EFT, so I toughed it out, and leaned on friends, family and coworkers to get me through the rough times. Knowing what I know now about EFT, I wish that it had been a part of my life back then, because I know it could have made a huge difference in my life.

The tapping script below is dedicated to all who are now going through a divorce, or have recently been though one, and still are feeling that deep sadness over the death of their marriage.

Cut to the Chase...

Cut to the Chase...

Cut to the Chase...

Time is my most valuable asset right now. I wish I had more of it and I've wasted too much of it (tap tap tap). So I have made an effort to just Cut to the Chase more often. It's still a challenge to me because so many projects need my attention, but I'm getting better at it, and attracting more abundance as a result.

This term, Cut to the Chase, originated during the era of silent films, when people would refer to the desire to skip the unnecessary slower scenes and "cut" to the inevitable chase scenes in these movies. When we use this expression in today's language, it basically means that we want to leave out the extra details, stop wasting time, and that we're impatient to get to the heart of the matter!

Now I want to apply this idea to the topic of your abundance. I'm recommending that you Cut to the Chase - get to the real issue that is blocking you - without wasting one more hour or one more day avoiding it, fearing it, or getting dragged down by unimportant details in life. There are plenty of important details we need to attend to - but there are too many that we let distract us. Most of us have learned the hard way that life is short, and we would have so much extra time and space for ourselves, our loved ones and our hobbies (as well as attract abundance even faster) if we could Cut to the Chase in our lives.

Unfortunately, we do waste so much time on unnecessary details, on avoiding conflicts, procrastinating, getting mired in overwhelm and drama, and we miss valuable opportunities to Cut to the Chase which would bring more happiness and abundance into our lives.

Why don't we Cut to the Chase? See if any of these following reasons or "excuses" ring true for you:

1. I get distracted by life...
2. I'm afraid to deal with the real issue...
3. I've developed sloppy habits...
4. I don't want to slow down long enough to examine my life...
5. It's easier to stay the way I am.

So my invitation in this newsletter is for you to choose to Cut to the Chase instead of wasting time avoiding what you need to focus on or getting trapped by drama and being too busy. It may be easier to stay the way you are, but it's not going to give you a life of abundance.

The first thing you need to do is decide which "real" issue you have been avoiding. Is it fear of success? Fear of change? Procrastination? Then tap on the fear of facing this primary issue, and then face and tap on the feelings that surface around this primary block in your life! Remember, you need ot tap on the resistance to dealing with the issue first, then tap for the challenges around the actual issue.

When we make the decision to Cut to the Chase, we give ourselves more quality time with ourselves and our loved ones and we save valuable time by being direct and addressing the real challenges instead of "beating around the bush." In addition, we communicate more clearly to the Universe about our desires which speeds up the manifestation process.

It's true that many of us are afraid to Cut to the Chase, and others just have sloppy habits that get in the way, but I have found that there are nothing but advantages and positive consequences when you Cut to the Chase. You will enjoy the quality of your life deeply, you will think more clearly, you will become more aligned with your passions, and benefit enormously from this energy. Start feeling inspired to Cut to the Chase and enjoy the abundance that comes into your life.

Remember that our thoughts are real and carry energy...Our vibration matters!

The most important lesson I have learned from Law of Attraction teachers is that the Universe hears our vibration not our words. I also learned that we will receive more of what we are "broadcasting" to the Universe on an energetic basis. If you start raising your vibration by feeling optimistic, joyful, appreciative and grateful, abundance is sure to follow. When you Cut to the Chase, you will be offering a super clear signal to the Universe about what you want to attract. When the Universe is able to receive a clear signal or message from you - (no energetic interference from your attitudes) then the Law of Attraction starts to work in your favor.

It's your choice... Cut to the Chase and enjoy the successes that start to flow into your life!

Below you will find EFT setup phrases to help you be inspired to release your blocks to being able to attract what you want into your life.

When you change your vibration, you will change your life.

Go ahead, raise your vibration by choosing to
Cut to the Chase!
