Top 6 Ways to Save Money this summer!

Its almost time for summers and most people think of escaping the heat and going to some cool and relaxing place. Also, it is the perfect time to enjoy a vacation with family and friends. In short with summers knocking at the door, the expenses of most people increase in many small or big ways and thus people need to know some ways to be able to save money. While most people think that saving money can be a tough task, the truth is that it is not a very difficult task. In the article below, there are some steps using which you can easily save a lot of money this summer season.

The first way is to grow your own vegetables. Even if you own a small kitchen garden, you can very easily grow your own vegetables which are of daily use. Growing your own vegetables can not only save some money but is also a very healthy option. You can cut on your grocery bills because seeds cost very little and not all, but some vegetables which are used in daily life can be very easily grown. If you do not want to do gardening or are not perfect at it, you can also visit a farmers market every weekend. Farmers market provides fruits and vegetables at a very low cost than the local markets, so you can also buy in bulk.
If you have children, summer vacation time can really be a tough time because you will have to take them out for movies or other activities. To save you from this expense, there are so many exciting alternatives that you can do for your child. Instead of going for movies, you could subscribe to movie rentals so that you do not have to go out every week. It is not only cheap but more fun as you can do this with the entire family. Talking of amusement parks, you can check on various deals on the internet that can provide you with good discounts.
Household maintenance is another area, where you can potentially save money this summer season. You can use the water early morning or late evening for gardening, because summer afternoons are hot and water thus evaporates quickly. Also make sure that you do not waste a lot of water only on gardening because it can add a lot to your gardening bills. For other household purposes, also be careful that you use water in a careful manner.
Summer season is also the best time for relaxing and partying with your friends and relatives. But sometimes these parties can also add a lot to your costs. To save money, it is suggested that you opt for pool parties this summer so that you can save some money. Also major restaurants should be checked for interesting deals and discounts on different kind of meals. If you are partying at home, you can buy your party items at a low price from a wholesale store.
Electronics are things which mostly add to your monthly bills. So you should always use electricity only when it is required, specially the AC. This is because ACs and computers use maximum electricity and thus if not used in a proper manner your electricity bills can shoot up to a mammoth amount.
In summers, fuel and gas prices also go up because the demand is also increased. Therefore, it is suggested to travel shorter distances by bike. Also using regular gasoline and not the premium one can help. If some people are going to a common place, it is best that you pool a common vehicle so that you not only save money but fuel as well. Make sure that you are careful of your speed limit and turn off your car at each signal so that you do not waste fuel at all.

Most people feel that summers increase their spending and at the same time the prices of things go up. But if things are planned in a proper manner, there are a lot of ways in which money can be saved without compromising on the fun and excitement of the summer season.

Tips For Visiting Detroit

All my life I have lived in Detroit. I have often struggled with where I should take visitors that come in from out of town. Detroit is not Chicago, New York, or Boston. However, if you look in the right places, there are many great sites to be seen.

To be honest, Detroit has seen better times. Growing up in the city, I remember many great things about the city that no longer exist today. However, I think the city is on the rise and there is a great future ahead. Downtown Detroit has improved and there are many more improvements in the works. For those with the entrepreneurial spirit, I think this is a great place to be.

In this article, I will give you my top ten things which you should do on your visit to Detroit.

1. The cultural minded should spend a day at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The museum has over 60,000 works of art in their collection. The collection includes paintings by Cezanne, Degas, Rembrandt, Rubens, and Warhol.

2. Visit Belle Isle. An island park, located in the Detroit River, originally designed in 1883 by Frederick Law Olmstead. He was the designer of Central Park in New York City. At the tip of the island, you will find a great view of downtown Detroit.

3. Have a hot dog at Lafayette Coney Island. A "Coney" in Detroit is a hot dog covered in chili, mustard and onions. Lafayette is the best in the city. Don't just order a dog. Make sure to include chili fries and a coke.

4. On any given Saturday, visit Eastern Market. This is the farmer's market for local area. After browsing the spectacular fruits, vegetables, meats and other food products, head over to the Russell Street Deli. The sandwiches and food cannot be beat.

5. For those animal lovers, visit the Detroit Zoo. The Zoo is not located in Detroit proper. It is located a two miles outside the city in Royal Oak. Over 3,000 animals call the zoo home. Considered a cultural gem.

6. Now that the Detroit Tigers are contenders, take in a baseball game at the new stadium. After the game, take a trip down to the old Tigers stadium at Michigan and Trumbull. Marvel at the place where Ty Cobb once played. It may soon be gone.

7. For what I call the ruins of Detroit, visit the old Michigan Central Station. It was built in 1913 and abandoned in 1987. It is the largest train station I have ever come across. You can get a spectacular view of the building if you are coming over the Ambassador Bridge from Canada. You cannot miss the building. It is the one which has no windows.

8. Take a trip over to Windsor, Canada. It is just a short drive through the tunnel or across the Ambassador Bridge. Windsor has a nice downtown and many great restaurants. The best Italian restaurants are located on Erie Street.

9. Take a trip to the suburbs. Just outside the city, visit Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Birmingham. They are all off of the Woodward Avenue corridor. Each of these towns have a small downtown with unique boutiques and restaurants. Each one is good for an afternoon of browsing.

10. Further up the Woodward corridor, visit Cranbrook. An educational community started in the early 1900's. It features architecture by Eliel Saarinen, Albert Kahn, Steven Holl, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien and Rafael Moneo. It has been called "the most enchanted and enchanting setting in America".

I hope my tips will provide you with some ideas of things to do on your visit to Detroit. I am sure I have missed some great places. The key when visiting anywhere, get out and explore.

Time to Say Goodbye to Self Criticism - Releasing the Inner Critic

Time to Say Goodbye to Self Criticism - Releasing the Inner Critic

Time to Say Goodbye to Self Criticism - Releasing the Inner Critic

Who are the people in your life that have been the most critical of you? Family, partners, bosses or friends. No matter how hard you tried, it was never good enough. The focus was always on what you did wrong, not what you did right.

Hearing those messages repeatedly has an effect. They begin to seep in and feel true. You try hard to please them and get praise, but it rarely works. Maybe it was your fault? Doubt begins to seep in and you start to wonder if you are really like that. You begin to hear those criticisms in your head when you didnt meet your own expectations.

When you focus on the negative, you will continue to see what is going wrong. Change is difficult when you are focusing on what you dont want to do, what is not working for you and what you are not doing well. The shortcomings stand out sharply. Those criticisms that have turned into your inner critic will continue to point out all of your flaws. Progress is difficult when you keep looking behind you. You are going against the flow which hinders progress.

Once you are aware of the inner critic, you will become more aware of the messages that your critical voice is telling you. The messages sound justified. But are they? There is more than one way to look at any situation. Recognize that those messages were someone elses that you heard frequently. Most likely someone that you really wanted praise from, but never got. If having that critical voice works for you, then keep it for as long as you need to.

There will come a point when the inner critic does not help you anymore. You have become aware of your pattern. Change beings to happen, you have a minor setback and then you stop working toward your goal. How many times has that happened to you?

You can release your inner critic. Once you recognize this choice, you have created an opportunity for change. It might have always been there, but for whatever reasons, you were not able to see it up until now.

This is the next step to taking back control. Choose to release the inner critic. Although it feels that the inner critic is a part of you, it is not. Having awareness of this is the first step toward separating yourself from that critical voice. You can change what you choose to focus on. Release the negative in order to experience the positive. Focus on the goals and what you are doing well to reach your goals.

You can do this. Think about telling your inner critic that he/she is no longer welcome to stay within you. What would you say? Visualize releasing your inner critic. How would you release your critic?

Release your inner critic. Consider telling that critical voice that he/she is no longer welcome. Would you gently let the inner critic know that you no longer want him/her around? Say that you love him/her, but no longer able to remain a part of you? Or are you angry and need to be more forceful? You need to tell the inner critic he/she is being kicked off the committee?

Whatever way works for you is the right way to do this. You can be as gentle or as firm as you need to be. Choose what is right for you. Ways to release your inner critic include having it take a path that leads away from you, returning it to their original home and taking a time out in its bedroom, or kicking it off out of your inner self to a place far, far away. Does it feel right to release your inner critic in a gentle way or in a more forceful manner?

If you are not sure, one method is the corporate way of letting someone go. You imagine that you have some body guards with you. Give the inner critic a pink slip and tell the inner critic that You need to clean out your office and be free to go. Put your negative energy into a box to take with you. I wish you well in whatever your future endeavors are. Then have the body guards escort the inner critic and the box of negativity out onto the sidewalk.

Think about how you would like to do this and then make the choice to take action.

If you are not familiar with the Emotional Freedom Technique download the Tapping Into Emotional Freedom at http://www.kolpiacounseling.com/article-eft.html

While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation).

Set up: Even though I have this inner critic and it always points out my mistakes, I deeply love and accept all parts of myself.
Even though I get down on myself for not doing things perfectly, I choose to realize that I am doing the best I can given the circumstances.
Even though I am hard on myself even when I dont want to be, I can choose to recognize what I have done well.

Eyebrow: This inner critic.
Side of Eye: This negative voice that is always waiting to put me down.
Under Eye: I easily focus on my faults.
Under Nose: I know what I am doing wrong.
Chin: Being critical is familiar. I have done it for so long.
Collarbone: Being critical is safe. I know what to expect.
Under Arm: I have been critical for long enough.
Head: I will choose to release my inner critic when I am ready to, knowing that I can change.

Eyebrow: I know being critical of myself serves a purpose.
Side of Eye: I have been critical for so long that I dont even realize I am doing that.
Under Eye: My inner critic keeps me stuck and does not work to help me change.
Under Nose: I am getting ready to release my inner critic because it does not help me at this time in my life.
Chin: I appreciate how my inner critic has protected me for this long.
Collarbone: I now know how I dont want to be.
Under Arm: My inner critic has tried to help me be the best I can, but it has never felt good doing it this way.
Head: I will release the inner critic when I am ready and choose to focus my thoughts on what I am doing well.

Eyebrow: I choose to focus on my strengths and successes.
Side of Eye: I choose to realize that the inner critic is based on a thought and I have the ability to change my thoughts.
Under Eye: I choose to know that I have had many successes and achievements in my life.
Under Nose: I will release the inner critic when I am ready to and replace it with a voice that is supportive and confident.
Chin: I am capable of doing anything that I set my mind to.
Collarbone: I can look at the positive and the direction that I want to go in. Choosing to look forward.
Under Arm: I have the choice to change and to release what does not work for me anymore.
Head: I will choose to release my inner critic when I am ready to with confidence and ease.

Having a desire to change is necessary for change to happen. If you really want to change, you are likely to be successful with that no matter how you choose to release your inner critic. Using the Emotional Freedom Technique, provides a system shown to have positive results. You are bringing some subconscious thoughts to the conscious level. You are identifying what the thoughts are and how they affect you. You choose when and how to release the inner critic.

Activity: The committee is the negative messages that you tell yourself. Identify one of those messages that you are ready to release. If you are not ready to release the message, then consider what purpose that message serves. Is there a way to reframe the message to one that has the same intention, but coming from a positive place. What would you ideally like to hear instead?

The Top 10 Most Famous Men with the First Name of Ed or Eddie or Edward

For the past year I've been compiling famous names to list on my name numerology website. These are all noted individuals, but who are the most famous? Today let's count down the most famous men named Ed, Eddie, or Edward.

The most famous people (based on online chatter) with the first name Ed, Eddie, or Edward are:

10. Ed McBain - Author (87th Precinct mystery series, Matthew Hope mystery series)

9. Ed Harris - Actor (Apollo 13, Pollock, The Hours)

8. Ed Wood - Director and Screenwriter (Glen or Glenda, Plan 9 from Outer Space, Bride of the Monster)

7. Edward Scissorhands - Title character from the movie Edward Scissorhands

6. Ed Westwick - Actor (Gossip Girl)

5. Eddie Izzard - Actor and Comedian (The Riches, Valkyrie, Live at the Ambassadors)

4. Edward Norton - Actor (Fight Club, American History X, The Incredible Hulk)

3. Ed Sullivan - Talk Show Host (The Ed Sullivan Show)

2. Eddie Murphy - Actor and Comedian (Beverly Hills Cop, Shrek, Dreamgirls)

...and the most famous man named Ed, Eddie, or Edward is...

1. Edward Cullen - Character in the Twilight Saga series of books and movies

Not making the top 10 were Ed Anger - Weekly World News columnist, Ed Bradley - Television Journalist (60 Minutes, CBS Sunday Night with Ed Bradley), Ed McMahon - Television Announcer and Personality (The Tonight Show), Ed Norton - Character on the TV series The Honeymooners, Ed O'Neill - Actor (Married... with Children, Modern Family, John from Cincinnati), Eddie Munster - Character on the TV series the Munsters, Eddie Van Halen - Musician most natably in the band Van Halen (Jump, Panama, Dance the Night Away), Edward Albee - Playwright (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Seascape, The Zoo Story), Edward Asner - Actor (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lou Grant, Roots), Edward Ferrars - character in Jane Austen's novel Sense and Sensibility, Edward Furlong - Actor (American History X, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Before and After), Edward Hopper - American Painter (Nighthawks, Automat, Chop Suey), Edward Hyde - Character in the novel Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Edward Murdstone - Character in Charles Dickens' novel David Copperfield, Edward Rochester - Character in Charlotte Bront's novel Jane Eyre, and Edward Teach - Pirate in the early 1700s better known as Blackbeard.

An pretty good mix of occupations for the top ten Ed, Eddies, and Edwards with one talk show host (Ed Sullivan), one director (Ed Wood), one author (Ed McBain), two fictional characters (Edward Cullen and Edward Scissorhands), and five actors (Eddie Murphy, Edward Norton, Eddie Izzard, Ed Westwick, and Ed Harris).

This was an unusual top ten list in that there were no musicians in the top 10, with Eddie Van Halen just barely missing out. No surprise that Twilight fan favorite Edward Cullen topped the list. It's nearly impossible to beat the online popularity of Twilight these days.

I compiled this list by searching for each of the Ed, Eddie, and Edwards on a number of search engines and ranking them by the number of web pages, discussion forums, photos, videos, etc that are available online.

The Top 5 Attractions in Tenerife

The Top 5 Attractions in Tenerife

The Top 5 Attractions in Tenerife

You know why you book a package holiday to Tenerife: the sun! The sea! The sand! The clubs! But between the nights on the dancefloor and the days on the sand, theres plenty of room for checking out some of Tenerifes attractions, as long as you know where to look. Fortunately Ive made it easier for you by listing my 5 favourite things to do in Tenerife:

Park Las Aquilas Jungle Park

The Jungle Park really is a must for any package holiday in Tenerife. Set high in the hills within 75,000 square metres of tropical gardens, this is a wildlife park that will intrigue and entertain people of all ages. There is a good selection of animals as youd expect in any zoo, but the park is especially recommended for fans of big cats, penguins and exotic birds of prey (the flying eagle demonstration is a must-see, but they mean it when they say you shouldnt bring food in!) There are plenty of activities for kids (and big kids) and with a wide selection of lions, leopards, tigers and jaguars, big cat lovers will be in heaven!

Parque Nacional Las Canadas del Teide

Perhaps the most famous attraction in Tenerife is the Volcanic Mount Teide. Not one if youre nursing a hangover, but for everyone else this is an absolute must-see. The views from the mountain are simply breathtaking, and you get a fantastic look at the island which you will never forget. Its wise to get there early as this is one of the big attractions of Tenerife if you want to head all the way to the top youll need to wrap up warmly and be sure to bring your camera!

Golf del Sur

If youre a fan of golf, then a stay at the Golf del Sur resort should be a definite on your Tenerife package holiday itinerary. The resort offers very little to do other than play golf but if you love the game this wont be a problem. Of the courses available, my pick is Playa Del Americas, with Golf del Sur getting a special mention for its tranquil feel. Within easy reach youll also find Amirilla and Adeje both of which offer an entertaining round of golf. If the sports your thing, feel free to ignore the other things to do in Tenerife and make this your sole focus!

Scuba Diving and Snorkelling

It would be a shame to be so close to the countrys warm, clear blue oceans and not see the life teeming just underneath the surface fortunately, there are plenty of places available to make this dream a reality, and its well worth taking advantage of the nearby coral reefs that make for an unforgettable diving experience. Once youve undertaken some training and gotten kitted out, you will be able to see all kinds of sea life from starfish and crabs to rays and other tropical fish enjoying their natural habitat. This is one of the best things to do in Tenerife and should not be missed!

Loro Parque

Yep, another wildlife park Tenerife has many of these and putting only 2 in the top 5 was quite a struggle! Loro Parque is the pick though purely for its size, scale, variety and the sense that its worth visiting the country for! The park seems to put animal welfare as its number one priority, and the animals are simultaneously happy and entertaining as a result. There are a number of fantastic shows (the whales in particular are an absolute must-see) and you can expect to see turtles, sharks, flamingos, penguins, tigers everything you could want. The park is home to the biggest parrot collection in the world (and the original purpose of the attraction!), so be sure to get plenty of photos of these amazing colourful birds.

Theres so many attractions in Tenerife that itd be a shame to just stick to the beach and the clubs although I wouldnt blame you if you did, superb as they are. Just consider they above options when you touch down for your package holiday in Tenerife!

The Three Spiritual Powers of Independent Thinkers

The Three Spiritual Powers of Independent Thinkers

The Three Spiritual Powers of Independent Thinkers

Independent thinkers are growing in number. Though still a tiny minority, everyday more and more people are throwing aside conformity and seeking to understand spiritual themes direct from their own hearts, and not through any person, book or organization on earth. Though these can be valuable tools, independent thinkers know that knowledge can come from others, but only from within can wisdom dawn.

As wisdom grows independent thinkers discover many new and practical powers that further their spiritual aims and provide great talents for successful daily living. Here are three of these powers:

1. The Power to IGNORE

The movie "Fountainhead" has a great scene that illustrates the struggle between the will and creativity of the individual and the downward pull of the masses.

Architect Howard Roarke is designing magnificent new buildings. They are a sharp contrast to the city's old style structures. Mr. Toohey is a widely read journalist. He despises the nonconforming architect and does everything possible in his newspaper column to hinder his work and sway public opinion against him.

One day Mr. Toohey sees the architect looking over a building site. He walks up and boastfully tells him how he is the one who has caused so many problems for him over the years, including the cancellation of a major commission. He then looks at Howard with a beaming smile and says, "Tell me, Mr. Roarke, what do you think of me?"

Howard looks at him and says, "I don't think of you." He turns and walks away. The expression on the journalist's face is one of bitter defeat.

One important thing to know while reclaiming your personal, spiritual power is that you will encounter resistance from people who are threatened by your desire to change. Author Vernon Howard refers to these settled types as YAPPING DOGS. He defines them in his book, Your Power of Natural Knowing as Lost people who would rather yap at you instead of traveling with you on the spiritual journey. Ignore them. The dogs yap at the caravan; the caravan moves on.

2. Your Power to Fly Free

Several years ago my wife Colleen and I were in Colorado for a speaking engagement. We had an afternoon free and visited the local zoo. We sauntered back into the exotic bird section. There we saw a huge circular fence, probably 15 yards high and at least 60 yards across. It was very odd that the fence had no top to it.

We observed the rare bird over in a far corner. As I looked at it I reasoned that they must have clipped its wings so it could not fly away. Then suddenly the bird went into full flight to a tree on the other side of the cage. Obviously this was not correct. The bird's wings were fine.

I found a zoo attendant and asked him about this strange sight. "The reason is very simple," he said. "This bird was raised in captivity. When it was very young it was placed in a cage with a top on it. Every time it tried to fly away it would smash into the ceiling. Now, the bird never tries to escape. It is convinced the top of the cage is
still there."

How strange, I thought. And what a perfect parallel. We're sure there is a top to our cage. Maybe the only cage is a mirage within our own minds.

Empowerment means challenging the borders of comfort venturing beyond where we normally stop. Change feels wrong to old habits. Isnt it interesting! Change eventually feels very right and true but to arrive there we must travel through doubt and uncertainty.

3. Your Power to Step Aside

Picture a man walking a path to the top of a high mountain. At a certain point a boulder comes crashing toward him. Startled, he reaches down with both arms and stops it. The boulder jars him terribly. A moment later another one heads his way. He does the same thing. But with the approach of the third boulder a new and higher idea comes to him. At the last moment he simply STEPS ASIDE. He YIELDS. The boulder passes right by.

This is how we can deal with difficult and obnoxious people. They are on the prowl for a fight and when you refuse to give it to them they fall forward from their own momentum. It is amazing how powerless difficult people become when you consciously let them win. They are so used to a fight! But if they cannot get you to fight they have no power over you. Real empowerment is yours when you simply refuse to fight. An eagle sees no need to fight with a wolf. They live on entirely different levels and in different atmospheres.

It is great relief when we see that difficult and demanding people are really like the fronts on a movie set. You open the door expecting to enter a room and instead you walk into the open sky. Nothing real backs up obnoxious people. All of their attempts to intimidate and discourage you have no power if you are wise enough to keep your focus, like Howard Roarke, on what YOU want, not what they want.

Never forget that a person will try to direct your life to the exact degree that he or she is incapable of directing their own life. This wisdom is not cynical; it makes you powerful and free so you can enjoy your relationships on your own mature terms. Author Vernon Howard said to say silently to dreary dominators, We will either have a pleasant and mature relationship or we will not have one at all. The best way to help these types is to be entirely free of them. There's no need for rudeness. You're not unkind. You simply choose to react ABOVE their level.

CONCLUSION

Independent thinkers refuse to catch the ropes thrown at them by unaware people. For example, people often throw negative ropes by their facial expressions and by their quick little remarks. The TV itself is a giant rope-tossing machine. But the power all of these rope throwers possess derives from one thing: YOUR DECISION TO CATCH THEIR ROPES! You can choose in favor of yourself. You can stay in your own intelligent zone of independence and empowerment by letting the ropes fall right to the ground.

Independent thinkers do not seek the approval of people. They therefore have the ability to ignore all the protests hurled at them from those who want them to stay put. Independent thinkers know that others do not impose barriers on them the only barrier is a mirage and it is within their own thinking. Independent thinkers are learning day by day how to dissolve this mirage. The power that begins to arise from within is breathtaking.

Independent thinkers do not need to fight with the world, or with their own mind. They have learned the extremely powerful and intelligent skill of yielding. They have mastered the art of Spiritual Jujitsu. This saves independent thinkers a tremendous amount of energy for their vertical ascent into higher and higher spheres of wisdom and vitality. No wonder they are so happy! Growth and empowerment are very challenging at times, but they are the most enjoyable pursuits on earth.

The Texas State Bird

The Texas State Bird

The Texas State Bird

The mockingbird is the state bird of Texas. Most States in the United States of America have a State bird associated with it. The State of Texas too has a bird associated with it. is known as the Mocking Bird. Scientifically, the mocking bird is known as the mimus polyglottos. It is about ten inches in length, including its reasonably long tail. It has a shade of light grayish coat and a whitish underside. The wings and the tail of the Texas State Bird are of a darker shade of gray with white patches on it.

If you ask any Texan, he or she will undoubtedly tell you just how beautiful the song of the bird is in comparison to any other native North American bird. Probably that is the core reason as to why the mocking bird was accepted as the Texas State Bird in 1927.

Recommended by the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs, the mockingbird was adopted as the official bird for the state of Texas by an act of the Legislature, which was then approved on January 31st, 1927. The reason as to why the mockingbird was selected as the certified state bird for Texas was for numerous reasons. Firstly, the bird is found in all parts of Texas. Secondly, ornithologists, musicians, educators and Texans coming from all walks of life fuse together in asserting the Mockingbird to be the most appropriate specie for the state of Texas. And most importantly, the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs named the Mockingbird as the State bird of Texas and asked the Fortieth Legislature to adopt it.

The ordinary mockingbird is a fabulous songbird and mimic. The mockingbird's song is pleasant to the ears and is rhythmic. Sometimes it sings all night long, particularly during springtime moonlight. The mated males sing less than the unmated ones. Amazingly both the male and the female birds sing during the time of fall to call upon winter feeding territories. These locations are commonly different that their spring breeding territories.

The song of the Texas State Bird is more like a melody of the calls of various other kinds of birds; each melody is continual for several times. The mockingbird also imitates sounds that it hears from other species, pianos, sirens, barking of dogs, etc. Each replication is repeated two or three times, then another song is begun, all of this in a hasty sequence. is also known as a ferocious guardian of its nest and environment. Many times people have seen the mockingbird to swoop down on a dog; cat or predator that may be coming too close to the bird's protected territory, thus making it a fighter for the protection of its home, falling if need be, in its defense; like any true Texan.

The Role of Backlinks Play in the Success of a Website

The goal of most webmasters today is to obtain as many backlinks as possible for their websites by virtue of the fact that these links bestow enormous benefits on their websites. These backlinks are also known as incoming links, inbound links and inward links.

Why do you want links anyway?
This is because search engines consider each link to be a vote. So each link that points to your website from another website indicates to the search engines that the other website considers your content important. Hence each link is a vote for your site. Backlink is a link pointing to your website from another website. The number of backlinks is one of the indications of the popularity or importance of that website or page.

The importance of these inbound links is that search engines love them and greatly appreciate quality links. There are several important factors that determine the value of a backlink. If these back links are from high page rank relevant sites or authority sites then the credibility of your site increases further. These links help to increase the link popularity and also improve the page rank of your website.

Acquiring more such links will indicate to the search engines that your site is an important site with quality content and classify your site too as an authority site. This will enable your site to appear high in the search results for the relevant keywords or keyword phrases.

How then are these incoming or inbound links obtained?
Webmasters often employ various search engine optimization techniques (known as SEO) to increase the number of links pointing to their websites.

Writing articles and submitting them to article directories and to theme related websites is one of the most popular ways of acquiring these links.

Other smart ways of obtaining quality incoming links to your site is by submitting your website to quality high page rank web directories, leaving useful comments in relevant blogs related to the theme or category of your website and participating in forums where you can leave your signature with a link to your website. A method of obtaining inbound links that has become popular in recent times is to join social networking sites and bookmarking sites.

Another important strategy that can be adopted is to have the backlink as an anchor text with the keyword embedded which helps to increase your rankings in the search engines. Anchor text is the hyperlinked words in a web page. It gives your visitors information about the content of the page you are linking to and also tells the search engines what the page is all about.

All these incoming links will boost the link popularity and the page rank of your website and help your website appear high in the search results. The obvious result of this will be a continuous flow of targeted visitors to your website who are more often interested in what you have to offer. Some of them could become your customers while others could become regular repeat visitors because of the regularly updated unique content you have to offer.

These valuable backlinks play such a unique role that no sensible webmaster can afford to ignore these links and herein lays the secret behind the importance of these links.

The PTSD Solution You Didn't Know About

The PTSD Solution You Didn't Know About

The PTSD Solution You Didn't Know About

PTSD is taking a HUGE toll on our society, particularly in our returning veterans, journalists, fire and police personnel, EMTs and first responders to any emergency or disaster.

PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is the name given to memories of horrid happenings that continue to haunt the individual. Common symptoms are nightmares and inability to sleep, uncontrollable rage and unreasonable aggression, severe depression, suicidal and sometimes homicidal tendencies and generally severely dysfunctional behavior. Or the symptoms may be less dramatic and obvious and result in a general malaise or depression which seems to have no cause and no cure.

The term, PTSD, is somewhat new. The medical community has only recently realized that it is a condition or syndrome peculiar to one or more related events. So far, however, the medical community has had marginal success treating the condition. Talk therapy has given little relief; there are Viet Nam vets who have been hospitalized for as long as 40 years.

Energy Medicine Gives Hope but HOW DOES IT WORK?

What is Energy Medicine? For that matter, what is Energy?

People think of energy differently depending on their point of view. The average person thinks of energy in terms of "How do I feel?" "Do I have enough energy to clean house? Or go running? And we hear people say "I am out of energy" when they are tired.

In high school physics classes, "energy" was, in the past, described dryly in terms of "work units" or the capacity to do work. Now physicists are telling us "Everything is Energy." And when they say everything, they truly mean everthing, even thought is energy. Energy is manifested sometimes by vibration, sometimes by flow. Every unit of matter vibrates at its own speed. Denser and seemingly solid objectsrocks and tables for exampleare simply energy packets vibrating at a very slow speed.

This idea of constant movement or vibratory flow is hard for us who are used to a "seeing is believing" point of view.

And yet we think nothing of flipping a switch on one wall and expecting a light on another wall to go on. How does this happen? We can't see the "current" or "energy" travel through wires to the light. We simply accept on faith that it works and it does workevery time, doesn't it?

Nor do we consider the miracle of watching in real time the activities of those half-way round the world on a box in our living room. What about sitting down in a metal tube that carries several tons of people and luggage into the air and gently (well, sometimes more gently than others) deposits them several thousand miles away?

Is it such a stretch, then, to accept on faith that every cell, every molecule, every atom, every thought in the universe is vibrating in a lively (or maybe not so lively) dance?

It is in this dance and flow that EFT works its magic on a cellular levela level so deep that it actually changes us as it works on our energy flow. This can be almost instantaneous or it can take several weeks, depending on the type and severity of the problem, and reaction of the individual.

Acupuncture Without Needles

In today's world almost everyone has at least heard of acupuncture. EFT might be described as "acupuncture without needles."

Tapping on meridians or what we might think of as energy conduits throughout the body, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) activates and stimulates these conduits, rids them of blocks and allows energy to flow freely through starved and damaged cells, healing them as it flows.

This approach to changing emotional patterns is highly controversial, in the medical and psychotherapy communities. However, as the old saying goes,

"The proof is in the pudding!"
If it works, who can argue?

David Feinstein, Ph.D. in an article published in Shift: At the Frontiers of Consciousness published by the Institute of Noetic Sciences tells of Dr. Carl Johnson's work on victims of some of the world's most terrible and tragic atrocities. Carl Johnson is a clinical psychologist specializing in PTSD with the Veteran's Administration.

In a small Kosovo village where every person in the village was haunted by unspeakable trauma, Dr. Johnson began his humanitarian work. At the request of the villagers, he worked first with a man of whom everyone in the village was afraid. His behavior was angry, violent and completely out of control. Within 15 minutes of tapping and various activities to activate both brain hemispheres, this vicious man, filled with hate and rage, was transformed into a human dynamo, eager to help others become similarly transformed.

Of those 105 victims of horrific torture, rape and the witnessing of the massacre of loved ones, all but two reported reducing their degree of distress from a level of "10" to "0."

This 0 to 10 scale is one used to determine the progress of the treatment: "0" indicating no distress and "10" the highest possible level of emotional distress. Though the memories remained they were no longer disabling.

Dr. Johnson kept provocative records of various areas in which he worked; areas of ethnic cleansing, natural disasters, and warfare. He had amazing results, that are difficult to post here. These remarkable results were corroborated by those working with Dr. Johnson. Dr. Feinstein reports that clinicians from a wide variety of backgrounds reported that energy psychology treatments rapidly and permanently cleared an overwhelming number of people of traumatic memories.

While all these incidents provide only anecdotal evidence which scientists are loathe to accept, people experiencing resolution of their trauma quite happily accept the magical results.

Energy treatments also work in group settings. Dr. Feinstein reports that participants are able to experience immediate relief without having individual attention. Volunteers are often worked with while audience or group members are asked to do their own tapping, using either the same words as the volunteer or furnishing their own words while tapping. All benefit!

Audience members seem to, in the words of Gary Craig, "BORROW BENEFITS" from the volunteer.

This extraordinarily fast and efficient method of reducing the trauma of shock and horror has enormous implications for those tens of thousands of returning veterans who experience terribly disabling PTSD.

Not only are these young men and women unable to sleep or function in normal living situations; their families are torn apart by their dysfunctional behavior.

EFT would be of enormous benefit to spouses and children of returning veterans as well as the vets themselves. It is not easy to fit a missing family member back into a unit used to functioning without him or her.

There seems to be no down side of EFT treatmentno side effects, no harmful after effects. Even in those rare situations where it is ineffective It Does No Harmand isn't that the first tenet of the Hippocratic Oath?

FIRST DO NO HARM

EFT works on the premise that:

Every Problem, Physical or Emotional, is caused by a BLOCK in the Energy System

While it is particularly effective with PTSD, its awesome results are not limited to PTSD. Every problem can be addressed by EFT.

One wonders why the US government does not insist on energy treatment for every returning vet; why media organizations don't insist of energy treatments for their journalists; and why fire and police departments don't insist on them for their personnel.

Not only would energy treatments decrease the rate of burnout; they would undoubtedly save millions (maybe billions) of $$$$$ in lost time at work and disability.

And that doesn't even begin to consider the savings in human suffering. Not only does energy medicine treat PTSD quickly and permanently (a HUGE savings in itself), it gives sufferers and their families a tool for self-treatment for any condition for the rest of their lives.

The Most Powerful Benefit of EFT Tapping

The Most Powerful Benefit of EFT Tapping

The Most Powerful Benefit of EFT Tapping

If you have found your way to this article than its more then likely that you have heard about Meridian Tapping or EFT and youre curious as to how you can use tapping to improve your life. Or maybe you are an experienced tapper but you are always looking for ways to get better results. Either way I would like to share with you what I believe are the greatest benefits to applying FasterEFT Tapping to your life on a regular basis.

------------------
Why Should I Tap?
------------------

In my experience as a practitioner I have found that the most powerful benefit of tapping is

**Breaking Your Old (non-desirable) Habits**

Now, this goes far beyond curing your procrastination or smoking habit. To understand the full implication and power that this implies, we should first define what a habit is.

------------------
What is a Habit?
------------------

Usually when we think of a habit we think of some menial task like brushing our teeth every morning or taking a nap every day at the same time. Sometimes we refer to addictions to drugs as being a habit. But how do we acquire these habits and why?

When we create a habit or display habitual behavior it generally means that we have practiced a certain way of thinking, which leads to a particular behavior, until it becomes virtually unconscious.

This means that in order for you to acquire a habit you must first practice and rehears it until you can do it without consciously being aware of it.

At one time you probably had to really think about driving a car. Now Im guessing that youve had the experience of driving several miles and not even recalled the tripit has become unconscious behavior.

Habits are extremely important in our lives. In fact we are habitual creatures. Our habits allows us to take shortcuts so that we are able to survive and adapt to our surroundings.

The key here to understand is that all habits are learned. You had to practice and rehears them before they became unconscious behaviors.

---------------------------
Good Habits vs. Bad Habits
---------------------------

What defines a habit as good or bad? Well, I believe that all habits have an original good intention behind them. As an example, if you ever picked up a smoking habit you probably did so because you wanted to fit in with a certain crowd or perhaps you felt more sophisticated and grown up. These are all perceived benefits to a certain behavior that seem to allow us to function better in our environment. It is only later as we change and grow that old habits begin to get in the way of our new desired behavior.

----------------------------------------------
How to Uncover You Bad (non-desirable) Habits
----------------------------------------------

Are you happy with everything in your life? Chances are there are a few things you would like to change or do differently but you find it difficult, frustrating, or even painful to make the changes you want. The reason you are finding it difficult is that your conscious actions are going up against your habitual, unconscious thinking and behavior and in that battle the habit is almost always victorious.

So when ever you find it difficult to make changes you have uncovered an old, and now non-desirable, habit.

As an example, lets say that you want to start saving more money. You take conscious action and open a savings account and you even make your first deposit. Then a couple of weeks go by and you realize that you havent mad any other deposits but instead of making a deposit you put it off for later. Then you see an ad for a sale on that dress you want or those shoes or that fancy new gadget. You decide that you want it but in order to get it you will have to use part or all of your savings. Oh wellyou can always start saving tomorrow.

Get the idea? Your behavior is being driven by unconscious, habitual thinking.

------------------------------------------------------
How Tapping can Break Your Old, Non-Desirable Habits
------------------------------------------------------

Traditional EFTers believe that tapping helps clear your flow of energy and that all problems result from a block in your energy system.

As a FasterEFT practitioner I have a different belief system. I believe that the tapping actually disconnects the communication between your thoughts and your nervous system.

You see, the mind and body function together as a system. Your habitual thoughts lead to your actions.

The best way that I have found to begin using tapping to change your habits is to search for that uncomfortable feeling. When you are leaving your comfort zone and you begin to feel uneasy, that is your bodys signal to you that you are attempting to go against a previously installed habit. By recognizing that feeling and tapping on it while affirming I release and let it go you are sending a signal to the mind/body that this current connection between the thought and the feeling are no longer desirable. You are actually re-wiring your brain.

This is the reason we predominately use only five points while tapping with the FasterEFT style. The points we use are the ones that correspond with the organs in the body that produce the chemicals that create feelings.

As you continue to tap on the feeling, eventually the thought that caused the feeling will become more clear. With the emotion gone you will experience an ah-ha! moment. You will be able to think the thought without having the emotional charge which means your actions will no longer be guided (the habit is broken). Once this happens you can begin to tap in a new thought, thus planting the seed for a new, more desirable habit.

--------------------------------------
What Habits Would You Like to Change?
--------------------------------------

All habitual behavior first starts as a thought. In order to change the behaviour we must first address the feeling with tapping to uncover the thought. So now that we understand this concept, what habits would you like to change?

Relationships. Do you find yourself alone or always ending up with the same personality type over and over?

Money/Finance. You say you want to have more money, but what are you actually doing about it?

Health/Fitness. Making healthy choices is a wonderful habit to build but you must first address the old habits!

Job/Business/Career. Want to get ahead in your current job? How about start a whole new career? Maybe its time to start your own business?

In all of the above example you need to begin by taking a look at where you are currently in regards to the one you wish to change. Your current results are the manifestation of your current habitual thoughts.

Begin clearing out any and all negative thoughts around what you currently have. Then ask yourself what is it that I actually want? and write that down.

Ask yourself what your life will be like once you have achieved your desire. Pay very close attention to any negative feelings. These feelings are other habitual thoughts rising to the surface. Tap on those immediately and then go back to visualizing your self with your new desire. Repeat until you can see yourself with your new desire while feeling good about it.

------------
To Summarize
------------

Your thoughts create feelings in your body. Those feelings drive your behavior. Your behavior determines the results that you get from life.

Habits are thoughts that are rehearsed and practiced until they become beliefs. The habitual thoughts are always created for some perceived benefit.

In order to change a habit, we must address the feeling that is being produced. With the emotional charge gone, we are free to take different action and change our behavior.

FasterEFT Tapping is the most effective way I have found to do this.

The Mind Doesnt Hear Negatives

The Mind Doesnt Hear Negatives

The Mind Doesnt Hear Negatives

If youve been around the self-help material for any length of time, youve no doubt heard this at least once

The unconscious mind doesnt hear negatives.

Or any of the variables, such as it doesnt recognize negatives, doesnt understand negatives, etc. but you get the point.

And, admittedly, I have made this assertion on many occasions in the past as well.

The unconscious mind doesnt hear negatives.

But as I have thought about it, I have to ask

Really?

This advice is usually given in terms of goal setting, because so many people will set goals based on what they dont want. Ask them what they want, and they will respond:

Well, I dont want to be poor anymore.

I want a person who doesnt smoke.

I want a person who isnt like my ex.

Any coach or self-help guru will point out that the Universe is going to ignore the negative, and move in your direction that thing that you are focusing on i.e. poverty, folks who smoke, and partners who arewell, whatever you decided
you didnt like about the last one you were with.

The mind responds to what is being focused on.

But, (and Im going against conventional thinking here) the mind does not simply negate the negative.

Exercise:

Spend about five minutes saying, I am not wonderful!

Okay unless you are tapping, dont really do that. Hopefully just reading the suggestion you thought, I dont want to do that!

Why not? If the unconscious mind doesnt hear negatives, wouldnt you be filled with a great feeling as the mind simply picks up the words I am wonderful?

Couldnt we authentically experience joy by walking around proclaiming, Im not happy, and I dont want to be happy?

Do children find themselves happily consuming vegetables as their unconscious flips their statement, I dont like broccoli!?

No.

The unconscious mind is not simply hard of hearing.

The problem with negative desire statements is not that the mind cant hear or understand the negation, but that it is looking for a feeling to focus on, and so builds with the material it is given. The reason Im not happy doesnt turn into Im happy is because the mind understands the lack of happiness
it is a feeling it knows well and it finds the opposite.

But what feeling comes from the lack of smoking? Just talking about smoking brings up the unwanted feeling there isnt a clear opposite that is triggered. The mind doesnt so easily put it together that, If this guy doesnt smoke, he must then be committed to his own physical health, and takes care of himself,
and will likely take care of me, and that feels very good! Because that isnt an automatic conclusion.

Same with the question of wealth or a partners qualities. Speaking of what isnt wanted only brings up the negative feelings that the mind can easily identify it is not naturally inclined to go looking for the feeling that is desired.

It is great advice to create desire statements that dont contain negatives, but not because the mind simply cant understand the negatives.

Ask something about the qualities they truly love about anything or anyone, and you are unlikely to get a string of, Well, it isnt this he/she isnt thathe/she doesnt do this

Recognizing what you dont want can be a great start, but in creating powerful desire statements, you need to then figure out what you do want in the absence of the unwanted traits. You need to discover what would easily inspire good feelings
in you because it is the good feeling you are ultimately looking for.

If you arent clear on what kind of partner you do want, and only say that you dont want a partner who smokes, you might just as well leave out the partner as the cigarettes.

Ask yourself, What do I really want? What do I believe would feel really good?

Or you could try asking, What do I really not want? - since the mind is just a simple tool that cant recognize negatives.

Not!

And despite how this article comes across, I am not really meaning to criticize the conventional wisdom, but to encourage you to be clear about what you are doing and why, rather than accepting that this is just the way it is. It is simply accepting rules in this way that got most of us in trouble in the first place!

You deserve the experience you want focus on what you believe it might be, and be open to the fact that the Universe may have something even better in mind.

The Many People Involved In Freshwater Aquarium History

The Many People Involved In Freshwater Aquarium History

The Many People Involved In Freshwater Aquarium History

Freshwater aquarium history dates back more than 4,000 years ago when the ancient Sumerians of Southern Iraq, conceived the idea of building the first man-made fish ponds. Other ancient civilizations that brought fish in ponds are the Assyrians and Egyptians. In Europe, the Romans kept sea barbels in marble tanks while Emperor Hongwu of China maintained goldfish in porcelain tubs in 1369. Fish were kept in ponds and tubs for food and entertainment for the higher class in ancient society.

In 1841, Dr. Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward used his Wardian case for tropical animals where he kept toy fish and aquatic plants. The glazed case was originally used in his experiment on ferns. It was also used to transfer ferns and grasses from England to Australia and became the forerunner of the terrarium.

The basic concept and design of the Wardian case became the inspiration for the present day aquarium. Botanists and biologists started the idea of keeping plants and animals in an enclosure for the purpose of observing them indoors whenever they want. Anna Thynne of London created the first balanced marine aquarium when for almost three years; she maintained stony corals and seaweed.

The idea of a balanced aquarium was developed in the 1800s. The guiding principle was that a symbiotic relationship between fish and aquatic plants could be duplicated in a miniature aquatic ecosystem. It proved to be a valuable concept in freshwater aquarium history that is still being followed to this day.

English naturalist Philip Henry Gosse was credited as the person to use the word "aquarium" and it was in his time that aquarium became very popular in the United Kingdom. This was attributed to the Great Exhibition of 1851 where exhibits of modern industrial technology and design were showcased. One of the exhibits featured in the event were flamboyant aquariums in cast iron frames. People who attended the exhibit were impressed by what they saw. Two years after the exhibit, the Fish House was opened in London Zoo. It was the first large public aquarium ever built.

Published books and articles about aquaria in the same period had a great significance to freshwater aquarium history. Philip Henry Gosse's book, "The Aquarium: An Unveiling of the Wonders of the Deep Sea" and provided the reader with details of aquatic life although he particularly discussed saltwater aquaria.

In 1856, the article "The Lake in a Glass" was published in Germany and it talked about freshwater aquaria. After more than ten years, aquarists' societies were being formed in the country. The United States published the world's first aquarium magazine in 1876 and two years after, the first tropical fish from the Far East were introduced by Rear Admiral Daniel Ammon. One of the first published books in the country about aquaria was Henry D. Butler's, "The Family Aquarium" and its first aquarist society was founded in New York in 1893.

As aquariums became widely accepted as a hobby, improvements in the tank design and introduction of the first freshwater aquarium accessories gave the first aquarists the motivation to continue what they have started. The first mechanical air pump powered by running water was invented in the early 1900s.

After World War I, the introduction of electricity gave birth to more aquarium accessories for filtering and heating the water. Another pivotal improvement that played an important role in freshwater aquarium history was the development of the plastic shipping bag in the 1950's. It made shipping of fish easier allowing the transfer and exchange of different varieties of fish to many locations. Before plastic shipping bags were used, fish transports were done by using jugs made from various materials.

The aquarium tank itself greatly improved from the marble tank of the Roman era to the custom built MacQuarium, an aquarium built from the shell of an Apple Macintosh computer. In the Victorian Era, aquariums were made by a combination of glass front and wood sealed by a type of resin. Robert Warrington created the first aquarium made entirely of glass. At present, glass is still used as tank material but in recent years acrylic was introduced. It is a transparent thermoplastic that is shatter-resistant and lighter than glass. A material that combines the strength of acrylic and clarity of glass is the laminated glass and aquarium that is now becoming popular worldwide.

The evolution of freshwater fish is also a momentous part of freshwater aquarium history. The goldfish have been bred in lots of varieties from the original Carp species. Tropical fish have been also successfully bred with fancy varieties that are more colorful and appealing. New species of wild tropical fish have been discovered and introduced to the freshwater aquarium hobby. More scientific studies and research provided much needed information about the fish and their habitat which in turn helped them live longer in the tank. Today, most of the aquarium fish are bred and wild-caught in Asia and The United States.

At the end of the 20th century, an estimated nine million households in the United States keep an aquarium. More data from 2005 to 2006 suggests that these American households own 139 million freshwater fish and 9.6 million saltwater fish. Aquarium keeping as a hobby is already second to stamp collecting and will continue to grow as technology continues to improve.

The Magic of EFT

The Magic of EFT

EFT is magic!

Okay, maybe it's not actually magic, but the results are so amazing that it's hard to remember that.

EFT has had a profound affect on my life. I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and osteoarthritis. I was in pain every minute of every day. I was taking prescription painkillers daily, and stronger painkillers nightly. Even, so I had bad days, and sometimes really bad days.

Thanks to EFT, I am now virtually pain free. No more of the daily misery of struggling just to do normal tasks. No more prescription painkillers. No more painkillers at all.

Eliminating my considerable pain was not my original plan when I started using EFT. I had a highly stressful job, and was just trying to make it through each day, so I tapped for stress, anxiety, anger and whatever else came up at the office. The results were significant, so I felt ready to try EFT on other problems.
I started tapping on my knee pain, and my hip pain. It didn't happen overnight, but relief did come. Then I moved along to all the other pain I had. Mine was a gradual process, taking about 6 months in all.

For the time I spent learning EFT, and doing the actual tapping, the payoff was amazing. No more pain keeping me in bed for days at a time. No more pain keeping me awake night after night, in spite of the drugs. After years of pain, it is nothing short of a miracle for me that I am now painfree, and my entire outlook on life has changed accordingly.

EFT may not be part of your belief system, but if you'll simply give it a chance, you too may experience amazing results. You can download a free EFT manual here.
Give yourself a chance to experience the life changing power of EFT. It won't cost you a thing except a bit of your time.

If you're willing to give EFT a try, here is a sample tapping script for back pain, a very common complaint.

Tapping Script For Back Pain

Even though I have this ache in my back that's really bothering me, and no matter what I do, the ache is there, I deeply and profoundly love and accept myself.
Even though I've been having back pain for a while and it limits the things I can do, and I don't like that, I deeply and profoundly love and accept myself.
Even though I'm tired of the pain in my back and I'm not really sure what to do about it, I'm willing to give this tapping stuff a try, and I'm open to the possibility that it might help.

Eyebrow: My back is really hurting
Side of eye: Im so tired of having backaches
Under eye: My back seems to hurt all the time
Under nose: I cant bend or reach the way I want to
Chin: Sometimes its hard to get up and down
Collar bone: Some days I feel 90 years old
Under arm: Because my back just aches and aches
Top of head: And Im really tired of having a sore back.

Eyebrow: This tapping stuff looks awfully silly
Side of eye: And I dont see how it could help
Under eye: But as much as my back hurts
Under nose: Im willing to give it a try
Chin: Im ready to get rid of this backache
Collar bone: Im ready to be able to move easily again
Under arm: Choosing to start letting go of this pain
Top of head: As I work on bringing healing to my back.

Eyebrow: Starting to release that pain in my back
Side of eye: Letting that pain just drain out of my body
Under eye: Allowing my muscles to relax as the pain eases
Under nose: Starting to feel some relief from the pain
Chin: Continuing to release the pain in my back
Collar bone: I dont need that pain and I dont want it
Under arm: Embracing a feeling of comfort and relaxation
Top of head: As I release the last of my back pain.

The Lie Behind The Secret Truth To Manifesting Using Law of Attraction

The Lie Behind The Secret Truth To Manifesting Using Law of Attraction

The Lie Behind The Secret Truth To Manifesting Using Law of Attraction

Do you feel you understand the law of attraction but just don't seem to be getting the things you desire? Are you frustrated? Do you manifest some things but not others? The truth is you most likely have not been taught the "key" principle to manifesting using law of attraction the way it was intended to be used and not the way most practitioners are currently teaching it.

You may have studied the law of attraction, read law of attraction books, and may have seen the movie "The Secret". After all your study, you probably have applied each and every step you have learned but something isn't working. Things aren't appearing in your life as you expected.

Instead of happily manifesting everything you desire you find yourself frustrated. You start doubting yourself. You begin to feel as though you are doing it wrong or the law of attraction just doesn't work. Perhaps you are able to manifest some things here and there but cannot find that perfect combination to allow you to consistently bring to you those things you desire.

Here's a news flash. There is a great lie behind using law of attraction and manifestation as it has been traditionally taught. In "The Secret" you are led to believe you simply focus on a desire and "poof" it will appear into your life. This has misled many people. Many law of attraction teachers have been trained to teach law of attraction in this manner. It is not their fault; they just either don't get it or have totally bought into the myth playing out in this fashion.

Whether you are manifesting using law of attraction on a hit and miss scenario or not at all, the fault lies in the manner in which you have been taught about the law of attraction. The movie "The Secret" leads most people to assume that all you have to do is merely focus on those things you desire and they will eventually come into your life. A perfect example is the scene in which a woman gazes into a jewelry store window at a beautiful necklace. The next scene you see her wearing that very necklace. You are led to believe she simply focused on having that necklace and she manifested it into her life. That in itself will set you up for a major disappointment!

I spent thousands of dollars studying the law of attraction, taking classes, buying books, enrolling in teleseminars and all of them were telling me the same old song and dance. I have been able to manifest some great things but not on a consistent basis. There seemed to be a trend to my manifesting but I could not put my finger on it at first. I prayed and asked for guidance and after several long months, guidance came and so did the answer.

Through my recent studies, I learned that the law of attraction is not a physical law and is not based on quantum physics. The law of attraction is a spiritual law freely given to all by God. It is based on love. Through this law we are given things (our desires) through serving others. If you are using the law of attraction strictly for your own personal gain, you will gain little to nothing from it. This is most likely why you have had this hit or miss type of manifesting experience.

Recently, I had someone ask me how to use the law of attraction in his life and business. Among the things he desired was a beautiful woman, a large house, wealth and many customers. I asked him what the goal and purpose behind his business was. His reply came very quickly. It was to make money. When we discussed how law of attraction works based on and serving others, which in this case would be his customers, his true desire was still focused on the end result which was the money. I recommended a book for him to read and suggested he do an exercise that would allow him to evaluate the goals he had for four areas of his life and the reasons for each of them. Focusing on his health, home, business, and relationships would hopefully give him some insight on what he wanted and why. Until he could move his focus onto serving others and away from himself and the money, he would have little success with using the law of attraction.

As long as your focus is strictly self serving, the law of attraction will offer you little in the way of generating your desires. You may see some greedy, self serving people who have wealth. Imagine how much wealthier they would be and how many great things they could have done if their focus had been on serving others instead of their own selves!

When you are in business and focusing on providing the best service possible to your customers, clients, patients, etc. you will manifest more customers, clients, patients, etc. which in turn will bring you greater income through the growth of your business. You will find your life transformed. There will be more joy in your day. You will gain referrals and opportunities will open to you that will offer greater expansion of your business, service, and income.

So, re-evaluate the current manner in which you are practicing the law of attraction.
Are you using it as a self serving tool or as a means to help others? By helping to improve the lives of others you will far exceed your manifestation expectations through the law of attraction.

Try it for yourself and see. You will love the results, and so will those you serve.

The House Of Animal Charities

The US is considered as the center of all animal charities. Though animal charities can be seen on any country, the US houses some of the largest animal charities in the world such as HSUS or the Humane Society of the United States and the ASPCA or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Other than those large animal charities, there are also some small animal charities residing in every states of America, such as the animal charities in los angeles.
There are several animal charities in los angeles, but among the best are the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association or commonly known as the GLAZA animal charities los angeles, Last Chance for Animals or commonly known as the LCA animal charities los angeles, and the Orangutan Foundation International or commonly known as the OFI animal charities los angeles.
Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association or most commonly known as the GLAZA is one of the many animal charities los angeles that was created to support the Los Angeles Zoo in its mission to nurture wildlife and enrich the human experience. GLAZA's primary responsibility is to seek and provide financial support for the Zoo's programs and capital projects. GLAZA provides support through fundraising, membership, organizing special events and travel programs, producing award-winning publications, coordinating one of the largest zoo volunteer programs in the country, administering the contract for visitor services concessions within the Zoo, and supporting community relations, and public relations.
Last Chance for Animals or more commonly known as the LCA is also among the many animal charities los angeles that recognizes that animals have the ability to experience pain, and as such they deserve certain basic rights protecting them from pain caused by humans.
The Orangutan Foundation International or more commonly known as the OFI is also part of the growing animal charities los angeles that was founded to support the conservation and understanding of the orangutan and its rain forest habitat while caring for ex-captive individuals as they make their way back to the forest.
Like any other charities, some animal charities only rely on donations by charitable people, and among the biggest supporter of animal charities is the Friends of Cashmere. The Friends of Cashmere is an online dog bed shop that specializes in providing the most luxurious dog beds such as the Cashmere dog bed, and donating some of its proceedings on animal charities world wide.
